LG and Samsung said to supply flexible OLED screens for future iPhones

Earlier this month, it was reported that JDI is in talks with Apple to provide OLED displays for iPhones in 2018. Now, a fresh report from Electronic Times citing some unnamed sources (via Reuters) is saying that LG and Samsung will supply organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens for Apple Inc’s iPhones.

Meizu PRO 6 rumored to be powered by upcoming Samsung Exynos 8870 Octa processor

Samsung is rumored to be working on Exynos 8870, a cheaper variant of its Exynos 8 Octa 8890 14nm processor with custom CPU cores and Mali–T880 MP12 GPU. According a weibo user this processor will use the same custom designed CPU cores based on 64-bit ARMv8 architecture, but the maximum clock speed will be slightly reduced compared to the 8890. Samsung has announced Bio-Processor, its latest all-in-one advanced system logic chip for the health-oriented wearables market. The company says that this is the industry’s first all-in-one health solution chip. It has integrated Analog Front Ends (AFE), microcontroller unit (MCU), power management integrated circuit (PMIC), digital signal processor (DSP), and eFlash memory to process the bio-signals it measures without the need of external processing parts. Earlier this month there was a rumor that Samsung might be working on the Galaxy S7 Plus, S7 Edge and S7 Edge Plus smartphones, in addition to its Galaxy S7flagship smartphone. Now images of the cases for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus have surfaced, giving us a hint of the design of these smartphones. This reveals rectangular home button and raised rear camera sensor, but the overall design of these smartphones are expected to be similar to the Galaxy S6 series.
