Panasonic has launched Toughpad FZ-Y1, the world’s first 20-inch tablet PC with 4K resolution display in India for enterprise customers. It was first showcased at the CES 2013 and has 5th generation Intel Core vPro processor, 8 GB RAM and multiple input ports. It is aimed at professionals in fields where visual clarity and collaboration are essential, said the company. It also has scratch resistant glass, which can withstand drop resistance up to 76 cm and runs on Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. Panasonic has launched two new smartphones, P50 Idol and P65 Flash in India. The Panasonic P50 Idol packs a 5-inch HD screen, while the P65 Flash comes with a 5.5-inch HD display. Both these smartphones are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), have a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Time and time again, Panasonic has struggled to make itself feel relevant in the mobile space. Previous efforts have more or less failed to leave a mark on the Indian smartphone space and just as we thought that the company might be about to call it quits in the mobility space, we see yet another handset from the Japanese marque. The Panasonic Eluga Icon is the latest to join the company’s Eluga series of handsets that represent the upper end of their offerings. Panasonic has launched Eluga Switch, its latest smartphone in the Eluga Series.The unique feature of the phone is that it is reversible and lets you speak even when the phone is held upside down. It has JBL powered 1.2W dual front speakers with Hi-Fi sound quality and dual microphones. The 3D audio technology ARKAMYS, ensures excellent tonal quality, rich bass and a natural sound, said the company. Alcatel OneTouch introduced its IDOL 3 smartphone with a similar feature earlier this year, and this smartphone looks similar to it.

The T45 4G and has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor, the Eluga L2 has a 5.5-inch qHD screen and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, and the Eluga I2 has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor and also comes with a front-facing flash for capturing better selfies. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display, is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with with ICON UI. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera.  It has dual SIM support and support for 4G TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India.
