HP recently launched their first ever WebOS tablet which is known as HP TouchPad. TouchPad seems to be a good tablet and it was launched in USA earlier this month. Now it looks like HP is planning to expand their TouchPad line, according to a roadmap leaked by PreCentral. HP will be launching 64GB Wi-Fi version of TouchPad with white glossy finish and it will feature a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, instead of 1.2 GHz. It will be a good deal for people who are looking forward to a sexy version of TouchPad with more internal memory and I think 64GB is more than enough for a tablet, no?
Another good news is that HP is also planning to launch 4G version of TouchPad. It will be launched as HP TouchPad 4G, it will be available in 32GB version and it will support AT&T HSPA+ network. It will be available in black glossy version like the original and probably there will be no difference between this and 32GB Wi-Fi version, only addition of the 4G radio. HP is making it a better choice for people who want to surf on the web right on the go as Wi-Fi version is only ...

HP recently announced the TouchPad which is their first ever WebOS tablet. WebOS is an amazing operating system and a massive challenge to operating systems like Android and iOS. At the moment, Apple iPad is ruling the tablet world but that doesn’t mean others can’t try their luck. Android entered the tablet game last year, and Android tablets are not famous like Apple iPad but they are still growing gradually. HP TouchPad is here to take down both Apple iPad and Android but it’s not an easy task. So now it looks like HP is planning to increase their WebOS tablet army because we heard a few months ago that HP is working on a 7-Inch tablet and it was codenamed as HP Opal and we also heard that it will be out this September. Opal will feature a 7-Inch display with resolution of 1024x768 and its design and dimensions will be similar to Galaxy Tab. HP didn’t tell anyone about this tablet so far but now some more information is out about this upcoming tablet.
Taiwan Economic News is reporting that Inventec Corp. which is a major Taiwanese contract manufacturer of personal computers, they will be making tablets for HP, and ...

HP officially announced the HP Veer at Mobile World Congress which is the smallest WebOS phone and the size of the phone is almost equal to a size of credit card. The phone is small but it comes with a power of smartphones. A few days ago, we told you that AT&T will be launching the HP Veer in USA soon and it looks like the rumor was legit because our friends over at PocketNow got their hands on a press image of HP Veer running on AT&T network. As you can see the image above, this model comes in two tones. It has a white battery cover and a black front panel, which makes it even more attractive. This small device will be 4G compatible and hopefully it will hit AT&T in May as its officially getting launch next week.
So WebOS lovers, are you looking forward to HP Veer or you are happy with your Pre? Don't forget to check out over hands-on photos and video of Veer.

WebOS was announced by Palm back in January 2009, and last year it was acquired by HP. Back in February, HP officially announced several new devices which include their first ever webOS tablet Touchpad and successor to Pre 2 known as Pre 3. Now our friends over at PreCentral got their hands on the images of two new WebOS phones. First one is the Pre 3 which is a successor to Pre 2, and in the screenshot above, we can see that it’s running on Verizon Wireless network. The actual phone comes with both GSM and CDMA radio, and the one in the image above is a prototype version. So what I think is that Pre 3 will be a world phone on Verizon. HP announced that they will launch this phone this summer.
The second image is of a keyboard-less WebOS phone which is named as Stingray. This is actually a device WebOS folks are looking forward to from a long time. It’s rumored that it comes with a 480x800 display and also features a front-facing camera, but the little spot could be a proximity sensor too. The tipster is calling it an EVO with a WebOS, which means that ...

A few months ago, rumors were on the street that HP-Palm is planning to launch a WebOS powered tablet, and it will be known as PalmPad. HP's Todd Bradley also confirmed it during an interview that they are working on a tablet. Rumors has it that the tablet will be out at CES 2011. Our friends over at Engadget are claiming that HP-Palm is launching a tablet codenamed Topaz, and they also got their hands on an image which is an accessory of the tablet. The keyboard comes with specific WebOS keys, which means that the keyboard is specially designed to use with WebOS powered devices. The keyboard has Chiclet design and low profile keys. The keyboard will be launch in first half of 2011, which means we will also see the device the keyboard will work with. CES 2011 is few weeks away, and as we know that HP-Palm is attending it, so hopefully we will see some new devices. So who's looking forward to new WebOS devices, anyone?

HP recently launched the Palm Pre 2, which is a successor to the Palm Pre, and the Palm Pre 2 is the first phone to run webOS 2.0. There are a lot of Palm Pre and Palm Pixi owners out there, and they only want to know one thing, and that is "Is their Palm Pre/Pixi getting webOS 2.0?". HP has made it clear by saying that Palm Pre, Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi, and Palm Pixi Plus will get webOS 2.0 in coming months. HP developer advocate Josh Marinacci announced it during the webOS Developer day in NYC. Have a look on the full presentation video below
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnFukS8PG5w&feature=player_embedded
I have another good news for Palm lovers, but this one is only for Palm webOS developers. HP has announced that webOS developers will get a $200 coupon on the Palm Pre 2, which means if you are developer then you can get the Palm Pre 2 unlocked for only $249, cool isn't it? I think that's a very good news for the webOS developers out there.
So I think now all Palm Pre/Pixin owners are happy, right?

HP officially launched the Palm Pre 2 a few days ago, which is the first device to run WebOS 2.0. The first carrier to receive the device was French carrier SFR. In North America, Verizon will bring the device to USA, and for Canada, HP didn’t announced any carrier. But then we say Rogers name hidden in the source code, and the code was right. As you can see the image above, it’s the Palm Pre 2 running on Rogers Network, and after the break another solid proof is available where you can see the Rogers Palm Pre 2 retail box. Rogers didn’t announced it officially yet, but now we have the proof which is proving that Rogers Wireless will get the device for sure. As HP said that Canada will get the device in coming months, so I am sure that our Canadian fellows will see the device before 2011. So stay tuned with us, we’ll keep you updated.

Yesterday, HP officially announced the Palm Pre 2 along with the new WebOS 2.0. As we know that the Palm Pre 2 is a successor to Palm Pre, and the phone is already headed to SFR France, Verizon Wireless, and an unknown carrier in Canada. Everyone in Canada is curious to know that who's going to get the device, and may be the answer is buried in the source code of Palm Canada site. Have a look on the source code:
<!--p>The Palm Pre2 phone is available on the Rodger's network.</p-->
Rodgers network? There's no Rodgers network in Canada, but there is Rogers Network in Canada, which is the largest mobile network in Canada. Palm launched the Palm Pre in Canada via Bell, but this time they are going to pick Rogers network over Bell, or maybe HP is planning to choose both. Well, it will be clear soon.
Another interesting thing was hidden in the source code that AT&T is also getting the Palm Pre 2. AT&T is already offering the Palm WebOS powered phones, so may be it's true that they are getting the Palm Pre 2 too. Check out the source code:

We reported that Ari Jaaksi, Vice President Nokia, Meego (formerly Maemo) Devices has resigned from Nokia . Now he has joined Palm. He quit Nokia citing personal reasons but the real reason seems to be a more interesting role at Palm (part of HP). He has been appointed as Senior Vice President of webOS at Hewlett-Packard’s Palm division. He will start working with Palm from November. And he will lead Palm’s webOS engineering team.
HP has also managed to nab another top ranking executive from Samsung. This is getting really interesting.
Although HP is a late entrant to the latest smartphone race , it might make a big comeback with new WebOS devices expected to be unveiled soon.Addition of these new talented folks might give HP the vision it lacks in the mobile space.
Anyone using those HP IPAQs still ?

The screen is flat this time, which is giving a good look to the phone and making it different from Palm Pre. It's confirmed that the device is running WebOS 2.0, 1 GHz processor, and 512 MB RAM. Palm Pre 2 comes with the same 320x480 resolution we saw on Palm Pre and Pre Plus. I hope HP is also working on another WebOS powered phone, which could be a successor to Palm Pixi. We also heard that HP is working on a WebOS tablet which is known as the PalmPad, and may be we will see a bunch of devices from HP this CES. Check out MobiFrance for more photos !

We know that HP is working hard on WebOS 2.0 and new WebOS powered phones. Recently, we told you that you will see HP and Palm on CES 2011, and we also said that may be they will bring a new software and devices. I think we were right because HP has announced that they will bring new WebOS phones early next year, that's what HP Senior VP Eric Cador said. CES 2011 will start from January 6, and will last for 3 days, so folks mark your calendars. And it's possible that HP will launch new Palm devices during CES.
Rumors has it that Palm will launch a WebOS phone with a large touchscreen display named Palm Mansion, and it will come without any hardware keyboard like we saw on both Palm Pre and Pixi. It's also rumored that HP is working on a WebOS powered tablet which is known as the PalmPad, so may be HP will launch a WebOS tablet along with phones. Recently we saw the screenshots of WebOS 2.0 beta, which let us know that the WebOS 2.0 is going to be sexier and better. Anyone looking forward to new WebOS devices?

CES is one of the biggest annual electronic shows in the world, and it only happens in Las Vegas. As we know that HP is now the owner of Palm, so this year both giants will attend the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Lets go back in the past, Palm officially unveiled the WebOS and the first WebOS powered phone Palm Pre during the CES 2009. And then during the CES 2010, Palm bring the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus. So what actually I am trying to say is that CES is Palm favorite event, and they love unveiling new toys during CES, so we can expect some new stuff from Palm and HP .Rumors has it that HP and Palm will bring the WebOS 2.0, as we saw the leaked screenshots of it a few day ago, so it could be possible, and I am sure that WebOS 2.0 will bring some new phones too. Also words are going around that HP and Palm will bring the WebOS powered tablet PalmPad in early 2011, which means that the unveiling of the PalmPad is possible. Well, I hope we will see some good stuff this year by HP ...

HP recently acquired Palm, which we all know is a popular smartphone manufacturer. When HP bought Palm, they told us that they will bring WebOS powered tablets in future. May be the time is near when HP will launch the tablet, because HP's Todd Bradley said:
We've already announced the expansion of our future product portfolio well beyond smartphones. We'll have a webOS-powered PalmPad that will be set for release early in 2011.
HP recently filed for PalmPad trademark, which means that the story is true, and we will see it in early 2011. As I said before a lot of times that next year is going to be year of tablets, now you can add the PalmPad in your tablets wishlist. I am sure that PalmPad would be something good, because I have been using WebOS, and it's one of the most gorgeous OS in the market. So you can depend on HP, I hope they will make a good thing, which will compete with competitors like iPad, Galaxy Tab, and Playbook.

Folks over at PreCentral forums spotted the screenshots on a Chinese site known as Wibozi.com. As we can see some new services like the DropBox and Mobile Me, you can expect a lot of good things in the final version. Palm has plans to launch the OS later this year, with a new phone obviously. You can head over to this link if you want to watch all the screenshots, and I am sure that the screenshots will blow your mind !

Head of HP Palm Division Jon Rubinstein, also known as the former Palm CEO, said during an interview with Fortune that WebOS 2.0 is coming out later this year. July is about to end and only 5 months are left in 2011 arrival. May be we will see a new HP device running WebOS 2.0 by the end of this year, probably Pre 2.
Next year, we'll see an OS war between Android 2.3 (may be), Windows Phone 7, iOS 4, Blackberry OS 6, Symbian^4, MeeGo and WebOS 2.0. That's going to be a strong war, and we can't wait for it because we want to see who's the best and the beast.
HP CEO, Mark Hurd talks about Palm on a German newspaper known as Frankfurter Allgemeine, he said that Palm could move into the background and become a sub-brand, he gives Pavilion as an example. HP Pavilion is a sub brand of HP, and all HP personal computers comes under Pavilion brand. So in future, may be you will see WebOS powered phones with name like Hp Palm or HPP (Hewlett-Packard-Palm).
Mark also says that the reason behind buying Palm is "software". He mentioned that HP will launch WebOS powered phones, ...
