Lately, the Chinese handset maker OnePlus has been in the headlines for pulling off some amazing stunts in the premium smartphone segment globally. However, this doesn’t end here, as the company, again, arguably, announced the upgrade of the current OnePlus 5 flagship in a gap of just five months. Dubbed as OnePlus 5T, it is a mid-cycle refresh after the OnePlus 5, offering an 18:9 aspect ratio display, improved camera, and of course the new advanced facial recognition technology. OnePlus 5T Benchmarks – Snapdragon 835 and 8GB RAM

OnePlus launched its flagship OnePlus 5T  smartphone in India. We already brought you the unboxing of the phone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The OnePlus 5T is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 10nm Mobile Platform with that has four custom Kryo 280 Performance cores clocked at 2.46GHz per core and four smaller Efficiency Kryo 280 cores are clocked at 1.90GHz per core and has 710 MHz Adreno 540 GPU,  8GB LPDDR4x RAM, same as OnePlus 5, but this has a larger 6.01-inch 18:9 Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) with Oxygen OS 4.7. OnePlus released Android 8.0 Oreo update in open beta last month for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. Today it has finally started rolling out Android Oreo update for the smartphones for all in the form of OxygenOS 5.0 update.  This brings several new features including new parallel apps feature that lets you run a parallel version of the same app using a separate account, Picture in Picture, New Quick Settings design and more. OnePlus rolled out the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones last month . Now it has released new Oreo-based open betas (Beta 18 for OnePlus 3T and Beta 27 for OnePlus 3) that brings new UI for DND, optimizations for standby battery usage, performance improvements along with bug fixes and optimizations

OnePlus 5 Android 8.0 Oreo Open Beta to roll out this November, final update for 5 and 5T in early 2018

OnePlus released Android 8.0 (Oreo) Open Beta for OnePlus 3 and 3T last month and said that it will release the update for its OnePlus 5 users soon. Yesterday at the OnePlus 5T launch event Brian Yoon, Head of user experience design division at OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will get the Android Oreo Open Beta update this November. He also said that there are over 250 closed beta testers and over 15,000 open beta testers.
