The never ending patent war continues and today was another chapter where Apple's patent violation claims were rejected by the US ITC. But this is just a preliminary ruling and the final ruling is yet to be made by the International Trade Commission.
Just a few months back Apple had filed a patent violation against Motorola with respect to touchscreen, multitouch and software installation, in a preliminary ruling ITC has discarded all the claims made by Apple after Motorola came back with with counter claims from it's own camp. The preliminary ruling is of importance when it comes to the final ruling, so this decision play a major role. Let's wait and see what happens from here.

Motorola was one of the manufacturers among many who filled the market with new devices, and failed to market them. It was a major fiasco in the Motorola camp, just yesterday Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha confirmed that they will be launching few handsets and will be concentrating to market them properly.
This is what Sanjay Jha had to say; "A lot of products that are roughly the same doesn’t drive the market to a new place. I made this decision independent of what the others will do, we’re doing what we think is the right thing."
I think this decision by Motorola is in the right direction as it is always better to release less devices and provide proper service and support to these devices. This is the only way they can jump right back into the Smartphone race, they have to revoke the same marketing strategy they had undertaken during the launch of the Motorola Droid.

As confirmation that Verizon is preparing to unleash the Motorola Droid 4, this screenshot is from the DridDoes.com web page with a link to the Droid 4, on the Droid 3 web page. We may even see this slide-out QWERTY 4G LTE baby foregoing the Galaxy Nexus, and this wouldn’t astonish me at all. Ultimately, this would be an element of the Droid 4 web page.
I love the first Droid from Motorola and I have a special feeling towards slide out QWERTY keyboard devices and I hope Motorola has got it right this time because the successor of the original Droid; the Droid 2 and Droid 3 have not done quite well in the market as there were better devices in the market for a better price also Motorola is not well known for it's after purchase services and updation. Hope they have sorted out this issue and I really hope that it comes with ICS so that we don't have to wait for the Android 4.0 update like the Droid RAZr early ...

In a form that doesn't make it differ much from a typical smartphone. Read on to find out if this phone has what it takes to survive in the hands of a nefarious phones reviewer.
Exterior wise, the DEFY+ looks exactly like the original DEFY. In fact not much has changed on the outside, if at all. The look is now almost recognizable Motorola. It is small, light and looks nothing like any rugged phones out there. Not only does it actually look cute, it is also stylish. You would not be embarrass to use this IP67 certified phone in a fancy bar for example as you would, say, a JCB Tradesman.
In addition to the phone itself, included inside the DEFY+'s compact box are a large 1700mAh battery, microUSB cable, 2GB microSDHC card, headphones and USB wall charger. The headset looks rather ordinary and if you are serious about listening to music on the DEFY+, you would be best to invest in a better quality ...

Nokia Enthusiasts, bloggers, journalists and many more took the trip to London, to join Nokia and see what they have been up to. Same as last year, Nokia World has again been held at the Excel Center in London. I was lucky enough to get an invitation from the awesome people at Nokia Connects and Stephanie from Nokia Austria, and that itself made sure for a fun ride! This years showcase of everything Nokia promised to be a big one, with Windows Phone finally arriving in the form of something we can get our hands on, and since I'm a firm believer in the partnership between Microsoft and Nokia, I can't say I wasn't excited to finally get over there and see what the Finns are up to. Keep in mind, this will not be an in-depth analysis of what happened at the keynote, nor will i deep dive into the handsets (that will come later on), what you're about to read were my personal experiences, and how it felt to be part of the event. Ready? Read on..

The Motorola Defy+ is an updated version of the Motorola Defy, Motorola's unique take on making rugged phones accessible to all. Externally the Defy+ looks identical to the Defy. In fact side by side it is impossible to tell the two apart. Which is a good thing as we like the same small cute design.
Like the original Defy, Motorola is marketing the Defy+ as a water resistant and dust resistant device that also has a scratch resistant display. The Defy+ is an IP67 certified device, meaning it is capable of being submerged in water up to 1m deep for 30 minutes.

Internally there isn't much to tell the Defy+ and Defy apart. The processor has been slightly upgraded from a 800MHz OMAP 3610 to a 1GHz OMAP 3620, but the 512MB of RAM has been left untouched. It also now runs on Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread while the original Defy was initially shipped with Eclair (it now runs on Froyo).
Incredibly, despite the same dimensions, Motorola has managed to bump the battery capacity to 1700mAh, up from the already reasonable 1540mAh that was bundled with the Defy.

Specs wise there is nothing exciting about the Defy+. Having said that, the Defy+ is a ...

When I was expecting the Motorola RAZR to arrive today , I had a question in my mind. Does this phone use a microSIM card. The Motorola DROID RAZR for Verizon uses the smaller SIM card but there was no mention about it in the Europe / Asia product pages. To my surprise when I opened the box earlier today, I noticed that the RAZR had a flap which covered the microSIM card slot and the microSD memory card slot.
For a device which is just 7.1 mm thin except near the camera, using this smaller version of the SIM card seems like a good choice. The phone had a sticker on top indicating the various buttons and ports. Also the getting started guide indicates the location of the SIM card slot and the right way to get a microSIM inside the device. The Motorola RAZR might be the first Android phone to sport such a SIM card slot which was first adopted by Apple in the iPad v1 and in subsequent devices such as iPhone 4 , iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Nokia launched the N9 which uses the same type of SIMcard. Nokia has also launched it's Windows ...
