Motorola has introduced a new Moto mod for the Moto Z series phones. The new mod named as Moto Smart Speaker comes with Amazon Alexa voice assistant support. It quite resembles the current Moto SoundBoost 2 speaker mod but with Alexa Assistant support built-in. It connects to the rear of your phone giving you on-the-go access to the personal assistant.

Lenovo-owned Moto launched the Moto G5S smartphone, successor of the Moto G5 in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors in India back in August on Amazon.in. Today it has launched the Midnight Blue color variant of the smartphone in the country. Other specifications of the phone are same, including a 5.2-inch 1080p screen , Snapdragon 430 SoC, 16MP rear camera, metal unibody design, fingerprint sensor and a 3000mAh battery with support for Turbo charging.

Motorola last week confirmed that list of devices that will get Android 8.0 (Oreo), but the list did not include last year’s Moto G4 series, even though it had promised Android O series for the Moto G4 Plus. After Android Police found out that the company has silently removed references to Android O on Moto G4 Plus product pages, it has confirmed that the phone will get the Oreo update. Google started rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for Pixel and Nexus devices starting from last month. HTC, Sony and Nokia already confirmed list of devices that will get the Oreo update, Moto has officially announced the list of smartphones that will get the Android 8.0 update. This includes the Moto Z series, Moto X4 and Moto G5 series. Sadly the Moto G4 series and older Moto X series are not there in the list.
