Windows Phone fansite , WPSauce , reporting live from the Windows Phone Dev Camp in India says that future versions of Windows Phone will support upto 120 languages. Equally interesting is the news that C++ native code support will be coming to Windows Phone in the near future.
The news comes from Microsoft developers and speakers during the Q&A at the event. While still far from confirmed , we find the news believable given Microsoft's goal to infiltrate the volume segment. Microsoft has also been very active in their support for developers who have been clamoring for native code support. Sadly it is still unknown whether these advances will be additions to the Tango release or Windows Phone Apollo scheduled for late this year.

The latest update hitting Windows Phone 7 devices around the world is the 7.10.8107.79 . The release aims to fix a lot of problems plaguing current users.
The full changelog is below but the biggest fix seems to be the disappearing keyboard bug. This is something which every WP7 user has faced at one point or the other and is very irritating. Several fixes to the mail client have also been pushed.
Changelog:
On-screen keyboard. Fixes an issue to prevent the keyboard from disappearing during typing.
Email. Fixes a Google mail syncing issue.
Location. Fixes a location access issue. With this fix, the Me feature in the People Hub sends anonymous information about nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers to Microsoft only if you agree to allow the Check In function to access and use location information.
Security. Revokes digital certificates from DigiCert Sdn Bhd to address an encryption issue.
Email threads. Fixes an email issue related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. With this fix, when you reply to or forward a message, the original message is now included in your response.
Voicemail. Fixes a voicemail notification display issue that occurs on some European and Asian networks under certain conditions.

Windows phone is not very popular, but we all know that Nokia has taken up Windows Phone as it's primary O.S and marketed the Lumia 800, their first Windows Phone without any boundaries. From deadmau5 concerts in London to free Xbox, Lumia taxis in India. We can see that Nokia is serious about these devices and are trying to make Windows Phone popular, well the Nokia Lumia 900 is on it's way to U.S and will be the first flagship device to enter the American shores after many years of absence in the American market.
Nokia and Microsoft have decided to raise the bar in marketing their mobile phones, they spent loads of money in marketing the Lumia 800, I am not sure if their sales were great and whether the marketing has paid off or not but I am sure that many people have used Windows Phone and aware of Windows Phone Operating System and Nokia's devices. I myself experienced the Lumia 800 at a mall where the Lumia promoters performed a flashmob to get attention of all the people to their stall in which they were promoting the device.
Well, we had the Verge telling it's readers that the Lumia ...

Microsoft has just made a correction to a statement they previously made. It seems that Windows Phone 7.5 does indeed lack support for NFC.
Last week, Will Coleman (Developer Evangelist and Product Manager at Microsoft UK) stated that Windows 7.5 does support NFC and that OEM manufacturers can enable it if required.
The statement has now been corrected by a Microsoft spokesperson who stated that Windows Phone 7.5 does not support NFC but Microsoft expects NFC enabled Windows devices to ship within the next year.
Microsoft currently holds around 14 NFC related patents and they have promised to bring support for NFC and more hardware choices to Windows Phone in 2012.

WP, although not perfect, has some features that really got me. There is room for improvement, and I'm perfectly happy in going that route, watching it grow and evolute. After the rather mediocre HTC Trophy I'm now using the Nokia Lumia 800, which simply is the best Windows Phone out there, period.
One of the discussion points I have always faced, has been "but there are no apps on Windows Phone". Well, i call it nonsense here. The Windows Phone Marketplace is constantly growing, and is getting filled with not only apps from the known brands, but also quality 3rd party applications, with some really cool ideas. Since people are still learning and are getting into Windows Phone since Nokia has joined the party, I thought it'd be a nice idea to put all my currently installed apps together, and wrap them up into a nice post. Ready? Here we go:

Over at the Microsoft Canada page under the Windows Phone Mango app challenge , MS seems to have accidentally posted the name and some details of Nokia's upcoming Windows Phone devices.
“The type of Windows Phone 7.5 will vary and will be selected at Microsoft’s choosing (examples include Samsung Yukon, Samsung Wembley, NOKIA Searay and NOKIA Sabre). Wireless carrier and wireless service not included. Activation terms and conditions are at the sole discretion of the phone manufacturer and wireless carrier.”
WP Central reports that the phone will come with a micro SIM slot and a 3.7" display. This could be a slightly lower end WP Mango device by Nokia. More information is expected regarding the same at Nokia World , the Espoo based company's annual event. FoneArena will be reporting live from the event.

If the latest patents awarded to Microsoft are to be believed then the company might be working on modular hardware for its Windows Phone based smartphones.
The patent shows how a slide out bay might be used to hotswap between a gamepad , keyboard and even a rechargeable battery pack. Some of the modules could even function wirelessly. One such use case scenario mentioned is that of a screen which works as a wireless handset or a media remote. Can we expect some of these innovations make their way to the Nokia , WP7 partnership ? We sure do hope so as Nokia is known for making really good hardware.

One of the most popular cross platform messaging services ie WhatsApp is finally making its way over to Windows Phone 7.5 which is also known as Mango. WhatsApp sent across a cryptic message via its official Twitter channel which indicated that it was working on an app for Mango.
WMPowerUser has also managed to obtain screenshots of the upcoming service. The messaging service makes full use of Metro UI making it look like a native app. The application is expected to be launched very soon. WhatsApp enables unlimited messaging across iPhone , Blackberry , Android , Symbian and WP7 platforms.

The awaited update brings major improvements with the biggest being support for multitasking.
The podcast states "next week is going to be a big week for Windows Phone. We have been told by various sources that Mango will be dropping and the final tools will be dropping for developers, so that would be interesting and something to look forward to" and while this is not a confirmation , Microsoft has already issued the RTM build of Mango.

The Windows Phone 7 homebrew scene is in its nascent stages. Jailbreaking is not easy and the benefits few. All this could soon change as developer ZeBond unveils his MetroPack application.
Styled after Cydia , the repository based homebrew store for the iPhone , the application will let users easily deploy unofficial apps to developer unlocked devices. The planned feature set includes :
Ability to deploy XAP packages to the connected device.
Ability to check linked repositories for updates. [in development]
	Categorize repositories for easy navigation.
Provide a repository directory, where users can check existing repositories without the need to search for those.
Package search (from the client). [in development]
	Featured packages (for promotional purposes).
Decentralized package storage – each package can be stored in a separate location, and as long as it is linked in the repository (with the correct URL), it can be downloaded.
Perform OS version checks before installation to ensure compatibility. [in development]
Something to keep in mind is that the application will NOT unlock your device. You will need to have a developer unlocked handset to use this.

The connector allows users to extend their Home Server to the handset. The application allows you to stream data from WHS to your handset over the internet.
The connector app even allows for remote server management which is definitely very useful. Specifically speaking you will be able to use your phone to perform remote server management tasks such as view alerts, manage users, and start and stop backups.

Nokia is ready to invest heavily in the promotion of their upcoming Windows 7 phones. They are reportedly spending a sum of 127 Million US Dollars (80 Million GBP).
A Nokia spokesperson however stated that it's not their policy to comment on campaigns for unannounced products. The campaign is set to start in October and will be aimed at re-branding Nokia as a Windows 7 phone company instead of Symbian or MeeGo.
October is also the month when Nokia World 2011 is scheduled to take place and it is expected that Nokia will showcase it's first Windows Phone there including the Nokia Sea Ray.

Microsoft has demanded Samsung to pay 15 US$ for every Android phone that Samsung sells.
Although, there has been no comment from Samsung yet, they might try to lower the rate to 10 US $ in return for deepening the alliance with Microsoft for their Windows Phone 7 OS.
During April last year, Microsoft had come to agreements with HTC to receive royalty for the Android handsets that they sold.
Android is gaining popularity and this is just one of the measures Microsoft is undertaking to reduce the sales and encourage manufacturers to adopt Windows 7. Together with Nokia they are looking to challenge both Apple and Google.
Samsung have managed to sell 19 million smartphones in the April-June quarter and most of them are Android devices. Samsung are also on the verge of overthrowing Nokia from their top position after their reign of 10 years. Their flagship model, the Galaxy S II itself accounts for 3 million out of the 19 million handsets sold.

Nokia's move of switching over to Windows Phone 7 as it's main platform caused quite a stir. People began questioning the support for Symbian devices. But there is good news for the users of Symbian devices.
Stephen Elop (CEO of Nokia) stated in a video interview today that Nokia would continue supporting and updating Symbian till at least 2016. He said that although Nokia are in the transition period of moving from Symbian to Windows, the support for Symbian will continue.
This might be a good move as it allows Nokia users who are hesitant to move into Windows enough time to take a proper decision. Stephen Elop also showed the Nokia ORO which he uses as his personal smartphone.

Microsoft's rumoured acquisition of Skype has now become official. Microsoft will acquire Skype for an amount of 8.5 billion US $.
Even though the price was finalised on 18th April, the deal was signed yesterday on 9th May. Windows Phone integration as well as XBox and Kinect support have been mentioned in the announcement.
Microsoft also brings good news for non-Microsoft users as they plan to continue investment and support Skype clients on non Microsoft platforms. Skype has access to Qik and now Microsoft will also have access to Qik as well.
A new Microsoft Skype division will be created to accommodate the staff and Skype CEO Tony Bates will become the president of that division and will report directly to Steve Ballmer.

Nokia is still the leading mobile phone company in the world, but they are losing their market shares rapidly. Last year, Stephen Elop joined Nokia as their CEO and he showed Nokia a new light of hope. Earlier this year, Nokia and Microsoft made a deal that Nokia will launch WP7 powered devices and hopefully they will launch it this year. Well, Nokia is now holding an event next week in Athens, Greece, and Nokia want us to save the date. It looks like Nokia is bringing something special on May 17th, and it looks like they are finally planning to announce their first ever WP7 device. At the moment, nothing is set on stone so just take it as a rumor.
Well folks, stay tuned with us because we will keep you updated. Anyway, what do you think Nokia is up to? Tell us!

Microsoft has pushed the latest update (7.0.7392.0) for Windows phone 7 users. This update includes the fix for 9 untrusted third-party digital certificates issued by Comodo, that issues SSL certificates.
First Windows phone 7 update (7.0.7008.0) was available this february and NoDo update (7.0.7390.0) was available this March that included copy paste functionality. These digital certificates are used to access popular websites like Google, Skype, Mozilla Addons and email portals like Gmail, Yahoo Mail etc.
All these are third-party certificates and do not come under Microsoft's security vulnerability. These certificates might be used to spoof content, perform phishing attacks, or perform attacks against all web browser users. After this update these certificates would be moved to "Untrusted Publishers" certificate store on Windows Phone, that will prevent the browser from using them.
You need to install Zune desktop software to update your phone, like previous updates. As you can see from the screenshot from the screen shot, this update takes about 31 minutes to complete. According to Mobiletechworld only HTC, LG and the Samsung Focus devices are getting the update for now.

Windows Phone 7 was introduced by Microsoft last year, which is actually a successor to Windows Mobile 6.5. The OS is gradually growing and giving other operating systems are hard time. Big companies like Samsung, HTC and LG are offering WP7 devices, and Nokia will also launch WP7 powered devices soon. At the moment, HTC is leading the race and they are offering several WP7 devices.Microsoft told us last year that CDMA WP7 devices will come out in 2011, and Sprint is already offering one which is know as HTC Arrive. Well, we are hearing it from a long time now that Verizon Wireless will be launching their first WP7 device soon, but when? HTC Trophy was leaked with Verizon branding long time ago, and we also heard that it will hit Big Red in April, but still no sign of it. Now WPCentral is reporting that Verizon will finally and officially launch it on May 12th. Verizon employees are now getting training on WP7, and this news came from a Twitter user which is spotted by WPCentral.
Well, nothing is set on stone so before hitting your local Verizon store; hit FoneArena because we are always in-touch. Verizon is making ...

At the MWC, HTC announced a number of new Android powered phones and all of them are quite interesting devices. And few days ago, HTC announced their first ever dual-core smartphone known as the HTC Sensation. It looks like HTC is now paying their attention towards WP7 because you people may have seen the first leaked shots of HTC Mazaa, and now another video is leaked on YouTube which is actually a HTC ad. What’s interesting about this ad is that HTC is showing off a new un-announced WP7 phone which features a 16 Megapixel camera with dual LED flash, you can see the image of the phone above. The phone looks like a Desire S running on WP7.
The ad seems legit to me and HTC is capable to launch a phone with a powerful camera. Megapixels are not everything; the phone should come with a great lens. Just like iPhone 4, it has only 5 Megapixel camera, but the lens and image processor inside it is amazing which is the reason that images taken by iPhone 4 are always amazing. If we talk about the smartphone with the best camera, then Nokia N8 is leading. It comes with 12 ...
