The LG G2 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone that was launched at an event in New York last month, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the second phone in the Galaxy Note series that was launched last year. The LG G2 is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos 4412 Quad-core processor, Mali-400MP GPU. Check out the quick hands on comparison from the IFA.

LG G Pad 8.3 global roll out begins next month, coming to 30 countries by the end of 2013

LG has announced that the G Pad 8.3 would be released in over 30 countries by the end of this year. The G Pad 8.3 was announced last month, ahead of IFA 2013. It packs a 8.3 inch (1920×1200 pixels) display at 273ppi, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). The LG G2 is the company’s latest flagship smartphone that was launched at an event in New York last month, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the latest smartphone in the Galaxy S series that was launched earlier this year. The LG G2 is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU, while the Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by a 1.9 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 600 / Exynos Octa Processor, here for the comparison we have the Google Play Edition with a Snapdragon 600 processor. Samsung even released the Galaxy S4 LTE-A  with a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor in select countries. Google Nexus 5 spotted at FCC as LG D820 with Snapdragon 800 and Android 4.4

Just ahead of the IFA, Google revealed that their next version of Android will be Android 4.4 KitKat in a surprising manner with no events or anything of that. Last year, Google Nexus 4 was launched in November along with Android 4.2 Jellybean and looks like Google are getting ready to replace their flagship smartphone device. In the past, there have been rumors flying around that Motorola has been roped in build the next Nexus smartphone device. Certain rumors hinted at LG to repeat its favor last year and nothing was confirmed until Google released a video for Android 4.4 KitKat in which Google may have teased the new Nexus 5. The big day at IFA has come and gone but sadly there has been no official announcement of the rumoured HTC One Max phablet. Nonetheless today Samsung announced their new Galaxy Note 3 phablet and we went hands on alongside a quick comparison with the HTC One.

Did Google just accidentally leak the LG Nexus 5?

Having announced the Google KitKat partnership for the next version of Android, the company released a video showing a celebratory installation of the new mascot in GooglePlex. This video might have looked normal at first, but keen eyes spotted a weird new device with the Nexus branding on the back. Could this be the unannounced Google Nexus 5? Also, if the logo is inspected at close, it looks to be made by LG. Unless our eyes fool us, this might actually be the upcoming Nexus 5 phone from Google, made by LG.

LG G Pad 8.3 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon 600 processor

LG had been teasing an upcoming tablet known as the G Pad 8.3 and today in Seoul , the company has finally taken the wraps of the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet and it does look like the big brother of the LG G2 smartphone which debuted recently. The GPad will be showcased at IFA 2013 in Berlin this week and true to its name it packs a 8.3 inch display with a massive 1920×1200 resolution similar to the resolution of the screen on the new Nexus 7 2013. On the inside it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Quadcore Processor running at  1.7GHz. LG has managed to pack a 4600 mAh battery into this device which is only about 8.3 mm thick and still weighs only about 338 grams. It runs on Android 4.2.2

LG Optimus G Pro vs Sony Xperia Z

LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s first Full HD smartphone and it comes with a 5.5inch display making it more phablet than phone. Sony’s first Full HD smartphone, Xperia Z comes with a 5inch display giving it a more compact body. Powerful quad-core Snapdragon processors power both the phones although the Optimus G Pro has newer generation processor.

LG Optimus G Pro vs Lenovo K900

LG Optimus G Pro was LG’s first Full HD phone which was announced way back in January but only recently launched. The Lenovo K900 was also announced in January and has been available since June in India.

Both the phones are similar in the fact that both of them have a 5.5inch Full HD display. The internals are completely different with the G Pro being powered by a Snapdragon 600 Processor while the Lenovo K900 is powered by Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor.

LG G Pad 8.3 shows up in a leaked render

LG released a teaser video for its upcoming LG G Pad 8.3 tablet. Though the video had little to do with the tablet, it was about various people talking what they use their tablet for and what would make them use it more. The theme of the teaser goes by “What would make a tablet just right for you?”. The new LG G Pad is expected to be announced at the IFA in early September.

It packs a 2460 mAh battery and a Infrared transmitter for Quick-Remote. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. LG unveiled the Optimus L Series II devices, the Optimus L3 II, the Optimus L5 II and the Optimus L7 II and their dual SIM variants earlier this February. The L4 II Dual went on sale in India last month and the entry-level phone L1 II was announced earlier this month. Now evleaks has leaked the press image and the specifications of the L9 II, the successor of the Optimus L9 that was launched last year. The Optimus L9 II would have a similar 4.7-inch display, but this would have a 720p display instead of the qHD display and the processor has been upgraded to  1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 MSM8320 processor instead of  1 GHz TI OMAP 4430. LG announces 5.5-inch 2560×1440 pixels Quad HD smartphone display

LG Display, the display arm of LG Electronics has announced the world’s first Quad HD AH-IPS LCD panel for smartphones. The LCD panel is of size 5.5-inches diagonally with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 538ppi. It has the highest resolution and ppi (pixel per inch) mobile panel to date.
