Intex Aqua Curve in the Aqua series appeared on the official Intex website yesterday, now Intex Aqua i15 with a 6-inch qHD display has appeared on official website along with four new Cloud series smartphones, Cloud Y12, Cloud Y11, Cloud X11 and Cloud X1+ smartphones. The Cloud Y12 is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, which would compete with recently launched Micromax Canvas XL A119. Intex Aqua Curve, the company’s upcoming Android smartphone has appeared on the official website. It has a 5-inch qHD (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen curved display based on One-glass-Solution (OGS), powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support, similar to most of the other Intex smartphones. Intex Mobile unveiled the company’s first Octa-Core processor-powered smartphone phone back in November last year. As we said, i17 is not the phone’s name, but the name of the phone is Aqua Octa. It is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. It has a 6-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display based on One-Glass-Solution (OGS), powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450-MP4 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera similar to the Aqua i7. It comes with Dual SIM support with dual standby. The Intex Aqua I-4+ in the I series was launched last week, now the Intex Aqua i2 has been listed on the official Intex website as coming soon. It has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to its predecessor. Three new Intex smartphones, the Intex Cloud Y3, Cloud Y7 and the Cloud Y13 has been listed on the official Intex website as coming soon. All these smartphones have a 4-inch display, powered by a dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). These have a rear camera with LED flash and front-facing cameras. These have dual SIM support with dual standby, similar to other Intex smartphones. The Intex Cloud Y3 and the Cloud Y7 have 2G (EDGE) support, and the Cloud Y13 have 3G support.

Intex has launched the Aqua i-4+, successor of the Aqua i-4 in the Aqua series. It has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), similar to its predecessor. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with WeChat, OLX, Matrabhasha lets users access the phone in 22 regional languages, Intex Cloud app to store more pictures, videos and files, Intex Play and more apps. We could not find what has changed in this one compared to the Aqua i-4 since the specifications are similar.

Intex Aqua i7 Review

The mid range smartphone market in India is insanely competitive to say the least. We have been seeing tons of companies make affordable phones with some of the specifications that are usually only reserved for the top end phones. But due to the same cut throat competition, we have also been seeing many similar devices, with common attributes like the display and the chipset. In that sense, the current market trend is this – a 5 inch 1080p display and a MediaTek 6589T processor. The Gionee Elife E6, the Micromax Canvas Turbo and of course, the Intex Aqua i7 are all part of this trend, improving upon the 720p screen based phones earlier. But is it really worth the effort and upgrade? We find out in our review and are going to see if the Aqua i7 delivers the usual promise of “more for less”.
