Anyways RIM has said that the Playbook will be updated to version 2.0 next month. RIM had announced Blackberry runtime which will allow playbook users to use Android applications last year, but till now the playbook has not been updated. I have never seen such a bad support for any mobile operating system. The Playbook does not have a decent mail client, no IM and not even the famous Blackberry messenger. It was a huge let down. But finally when no one cares about the device they have planed to release an update which will supposedly bring the Blackberry runtime feature which will enable the users to use Android applications. There are loads of rules and regulations for a developer to send their applications for approval and some are that they will have to remove the reference of "Android" from the application or any use of the green Android logo and links to the Android market. According to Crackberry, this is called Superphone. RIM's 2012 roadmap leaked last week that showed that the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone might be pushed from Q3 to October 2012 . This new phone is a lot different from the dummy model of the London that surfaced last November and looks like a scaled down version of the BlackBerry PlayBook. RIM is said to be testing the device with TI OMAP5 and Qualcomm chipsets with 1.5GHz dual core processors. These are aimed at emerging market and would come with BB OS 7.1 on board. The BlackBerry Curve 9320 would be the upgraded Curve 9300 and would come with 2.44-inch (320x240 pixels) with 164dpi and QWERTY keyboard, 3G (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), WiFi, 512MB RAM, Bluetooth, FM radio, GPS, 3.2MP EDOF camera with Flash. The BlackBerry Curve 9220 is expected to come with 2.44-inch (320x240 pixels) with 164dpi and QWERTY keyboard but it would be a 2G phone and would come with a 2.0MP fixed focus shooter. The researchers explain that the Bridge feature involves token files for authentication. Due to a bug in the OS , these token files are accessible in a file which is readable by all users. The chances for damage however remain minimal as the hack requires the presence of a malicious app on the tablet before the hacker can do any damage. They announced the BBX, their next generation mobile platform at the Developer Conference this October and later changed it to BlackBerry OS 10 at Developer Conference Asia in December  due to a ruling by a US  District Judge which prevents RIM from using the BBX brand. There were lots of rumors about the BlackBerry OS 10 devices such as BlackBerry London. They were also news that these devices might come with high resolution display, BES and better specs similar to the BlackBerry PlayBook and not look like the BlackBerry Bold. The  BlackBerry OS 10 platform will include  BB 10 OS, and will support BlackBerry cloud services and development environments for both HTML5 and native developers. It would also have  deeper integration and interaction between apps and social platforms. RIM would showcase the new BlackBerry OS 10 operating system at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, however new BB OS 10 devices would be available only in later 2012.
