The company also launched an entry-level smartphone named Zenfone Lite L1 in October 2018, and we have seen both the smartphones being offered at discounted prices many times during sales. Today, ASUS has announced a permanent price cut for Zenfone Max M1 and Zenfone Lite L1.

ASUS already confirmed that it will introduce its flagship Zenfone 6 series at an event in Valencia, Spain on May 16th. This week a new ASUS phone with model number ASUS_I01WD surfaced on Geekbench revealing Snapdragon 855, 6GB of RAM and Android Pie, now the AnTuTu listing for the smartphone has also surfaced.

Back in December last year ASUS confirmed Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z and Max Pro M2 will get the Pie update in January, and the Max Pro M1 will get in February, but only the Zenfone 5Z got the Pie update in January, while the other phones are yet to get the update. This week the company confirmed that the both these phones along with the Zenfone Max M2 will get the update by April 15th.
