Apple has filed a $1 billion lawsuit against Qualcomm saying that Qualcomm has been charging royalties for technologies they have nothing to do with. This comes days after Qualcomm was sued by US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for anti-competitive practices relating to maintain its monopoly in the supply of a key semiconductor device used in cell phones and other consumer products. Apple to meet government officials on Jan. 25 to discuss iPhone manufacturing in India

It was reported last month that Apple is expected to start assembling iPhones in India by April 2017. Now according to a latest PTI report Apple team will meet a group of senior officials from IT and finance ministries on January 25 to discuss its demands for setting up a manufacturing unit in the country. Nokia sues Apple over alleged patent infringements in the US and Europe

Nokia has filed a number of complaints against Apple in Germany and the US, alleging that Apple has infringed a number of Nokia patents. The Finnish company says the complaint includes “32 patents in suit across all of the actions, covering technologies such as display, user interface, software, antenna, chipsets and video coding.
