At the recent Motorola RAZR press briefing in London, Motorola announced a range of new accessories designed for the RAZR. These new accessories are designed to be compatible with other Motorola devices going forward. It is not known if these will work with older devices like the Atrix.
The first was the Multimedia Dock, which is basically a souped by cradle that allows the RAZR to be docked, charged and connect to a TV. Behind the dock resides three full size USB port, a mini HDMI out port and 3.5mm audio out port. The cradle feels weighty which is always a good thing to have on a dock, though I do find that the footprint to be a tad large.
The new Multimedia Dock can be used with a new wireless keyboard by Motorola. For those who owns a none-HDMI compatible monitor or projector, Motorola has also shown a portable HDMI to VGA adapter.
Also shown to us were two new Motorola Lapdocks. The Lapdock line of accessories were first introduced with the Motorola Atrix as an accessory for people who want to get more out of the Android phones, by turning the Atrix into a full size netbook and laptop. The Lapdock ...

The Apple iPhone 4 is the most popular camera on the Flickr network. Its 5 megapixel camera along with the tons of photography software is more than enough for most users. But there is some good news for the photo geeks.
This is the world's first DSLR mount for the iPhone and we think it might be the first for any phone. The DSLR mount allows you to attach your own DSLR lenses to use with the iPhone 4.
The lenses then function just as they would on a normal DSLR. You will be able to get the maximum out of your iPhone.
It costs 240 US $ but for such a unique piece of equipment, we think it's worth the price. You get an aluminum case, SLR adapter and UV filter. You can also attach a camera strap. Both Nikon and Canon lenses are compatible. The iPhone 3 version is available for 190 US $.
Currently it is only available for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3 but we think that similar products may release for other phones as well. We would love one for the Nokia N8. You can purchase it here.
Here are some of the camera samples taken using DSLR lenses:

Last month, we showed you the iHorn mini aluminium speaker stand for the Apple iPhone 4. Now here is another Apple iPhone 4 speaker stand for the nature lovers.
It is known as the iBamboo speaker and like the iHorn Mini speaker stand, it does not require electricity. It uses amplification of the sounds from the iPhone 4 speaker to create a louder sound.
It is also better than the iHorn since in the iBamboo, the sound moves in two ways and thus making the stereo effect more noticeable.
The product is a foot long and it is machined, laser cut and finished by hand. It is an eco-friendly product. The device is not yet available for purchase and the pricing has not been revealed but you can find more information at the official site.
You can watch the product in action and make donations to help the project here.

We've received some exclusive information and pictures of the Angry Birds speakers that are set to debut in August this year.
The speakers are available in three different variants - Red Bird, Black Bird and Green Pig. All are similarly sized and are designed according to their respective game characters. There may be more models based on other designs coming up but these three will be the first to launch.
On the speaker, you get the Volume +/-, Bass +/- and On/Off Button. You also get an AUX in port. The pictures also suggest that an iPod/iPhone dock is available. Each of the speaker has a different style of docking and we also received information that various models or dock adapters will be released to match the customer's phone.
For now, we know that the speakers will be on sale starting some time in August. But we have no iformation regarding the exact launch date or pricing yet. We will let you know as soon as we get more information.
For those who are interested in the speakers, we suggest that you keep an eye on MobileFun as they will be selling the speakers as soon as they're available at competitive prices.

We have seen tons of accessories and speaker docks for the Apple iPhone 4. But this might be a first for the iPhone 4.
The Century Speaker Stand isn't actually a speaker of any kind and does not user up any of the iPhone 4's battery power. Instead, what it does is raise the iPhone onto a platform and amplify the sound coming out of the speakers.
As a result, it gives you better and louder audio whenever you need it without wasting extra power. It is also very stylish and futuristic coming in four different colours - silver, black, blue and red. It is made out of aluminum and will give you phone an audio boost of upto 10 db.
It is also very stylish and futuristic coming in four different colours - silver, black, blue and red. It is available for purchase in Japan at 14,000 Yen.

Introduction
Have you ever been in a situation where you had to choose between sound quality or portability while travelling? If yes, then this review is meant for you. We discuss how the Skullcandy Lowrider is the ideal and economical travel headphone.
Packaging
The Skullcandy Lowrider comes in the typical clear packaging just like other Skullcandy products. This is a good way to let the customer see exactly what he will be buying before hand.
The box contains only the headphones and no other accessory such as a pouch or 6.3mm audio jack adapter. We understand it not having an audio jack adapter and for the price it sells at, we cannot expect much. But as it is a portable headphone, it would have been good if they provided a pouch of some kind.
Design and Build Quality
The Skullcandy Lowrider is an On Ear headphone. The headphone has DJ articulation which is a plus for portable headphones such as these. They fold up into a small object for easy carrying while travelling. When opened up, it becomes a full fledged headphone.
There is one problem however. Even when the headphone is opened up, ...

We've seen couple of NVIDIA powered Smartphones at CES this year but this news of a 3D version of the Tegra 2. Their dual-core Tegra 2 3D processors is said to power more smartphones that is going to launch later this year. So this is just not a single core processor technology, but this is an evolution which will change the way we use our smartphones. We might see devices with this processor by spring.
From the leaked MWC 2011 slides its understood that Tegra 2 3D is clocked at 1.2GHz and its on a Dual Cortex A9 architecture. So some of the devices which are planned for Spring launch would have already been mated with this processor. So year ahead looks interesting and exciting too.
So Android, iOS devices might cope up to adopt this technology. Am sure lot of Android phone manufacturers would have already started working on their protos powered with this 3D processor. Not sure if Apple is working on something like this in parallel.
Movies, games and apps will have unlimited possibilities now. Its what they do with it. And how the end user is visually satisfied!
2011 is going to be one of the important year in ...

Our friends over at MobileFun have sent us this very interesting micro-portable speaker for portable devices. It is called the Sound M8 where M8 stands for a cool way to say "Mate". We tried it out and here are our views on the device.
Unboxing
The Sound M8 mobile phone speaker comes in a transparent box which highlights the speaker. The contents of the box are as follows:
	Sound M8 Portable Speaker
Mini-USB Cable (Used to Charge the Device)
	Manual
Basic package, but has everything you require.
Design
The Sound M8 has a very portable design. It’s about the size of a golf ball when closed. This means it can even fit in easily into your pockets and so it is the perfect speakers if you are looking to save space while travelling. The speakers measure in at 50L*50B*35H mm. The device also weighs around the same as a golf ball and that is quite light.
The speaker has a unique vacuum middle which can be extended when in use and can be compressed back when not needed. This again helps to reduce the space occupied. The 3.5mm Audio cable has been built into the device and thus that’s one less cable that you have to worry about.

Screen protectors, cases, chargers, headphones, stands, tripods, bluetooth accessories, I've seen it all. But over the years only a few accessories have gone past the "oh I like it" stage to becoming an integral part of my daily usage. These accessories, for the most part, are universal: they will fit any gadget I am carrying which is a must for someone like me who changes devices and manufacturers often and owns quite a few different phones, not to mention trials a lot more.
1. Sennheiser CX-500 In-Ear Headphones
I am not an audiophile but I really hate the in-box headphones that come with most gadgets, especially the regular non in-ear design. I need good sound quality, comfort, durability, and a nice design. This is something I found when I snatched a pair of CX-500 for less than 30$ in a deal over 18 months ago. The sound quality is perfect, the inline volume control comes very handy, I frigging love their carrying pouch, and 18 months later, they're still going strong without any wear or tear issue.

11th September saw Nokia organize a Blogger Meet for the launch of its Music Store in India. Jasmeet Gandhi, Head Devices OPM and Services, India was there to give us a brief overview of what Nokia Music Store is and how this is the next step of music delivery to millions of people.
The event started and ended with Advaita putting on a spectacular show by playing some of their songs which are incidentally available on Nokia Music Store for download. I found the songs to be very good and I would strongly suggest you to download 'em all. Jasmeet asked them what the word 'Advaita' meant, well this is what it means - non-duality, it is a Sanskrit word. They (the band) stated that they are inspired by music that is transcendental.
Nokia's Music Store is a new approach towards delivering music content to people. Jasmeet mentioned in his brief presentation that the formats for music have changed, but music by itself has not. It is interesting to note that India has close to 1000 movies being launched every year and if you assume 6 songs on an average per movie, we are talking 6000 songs annually, which is quite a ...

Nokia plans to launch its online music store in India by the end of this year. Nokia has already started testing its Music store has already gone live
"Right now our own people are testing the site, and we will go live as scheduled in the second half of this year," a spokeswoman for Nokia. Also, the accessibility to the music store will be available only through vouchers, which will be given to the users when they buy a new handset or any other equipment from Nokia.
For Nokia, to allow users to buy music from their online music stores, will require a payment mechanism. Nokia has tied up with HCL Infosystems which will handle all the online retailing for Nokia, in India. Nokia will promote legal music exclusively and has tied up with Indian music labels like T-series, Times Music, and Universal Music India. Nokia will use Microsoft DRM technology on its online music store.
A number of companies including service providers in India are now into online music retailing. I wonder how many of them actually buy online music from the service providers. If you take a look at the ARPU in India it’s not fairing that well.

There is a lot you can do with your Nokia N78. The Sports Tracker is just one of them.
With the Sports Tracker you can map your activity (such as cycling, walking, driving, running etc) through the GPS and position it on Nokia Map. While the activity is ‘on’ you can take pictures that will get tagged on to your route.
This amazing feature will allow you to track your movement in any part of the world on a map (all the while noting details such as speed, altitude, latitude, longitude etc) that you can share with your friends and even other travel enthusiasts such as yourself.
The Sports Tracker therefore is your very own, personal travel map with a photo album thrown in! It is just AMAZING!!!!
Watch the videos to understand the expanse of this feature that Nokia offers ‘simply’ without too much publicity and grandeur.

Apple released its new SDK for the iPhone and its raining applications for the sexy touch screen gadget. First it was Gameloft who made an announcement that they will be launching as much as 15 3D games for the iPhone based on the new SDK and now it is time for the all time favorite Lego Building blocks to come on iPhone. Lego is popular among kids as well as adults, if I say that it is a kind of cult in the world of block building games then I don’t think so I am wrong in saying that. PlayNYC's LEGO-touch application concept is being materializing at the company’s office, they say that it will be built on the new iPhone SDK that was released recently. Just imagine playing Lego on your iPhone, it will be so much fun. You can Build, share, challenge others, personalization and many more things that you can do with this application. With the new SDK for iPhone released and new games being developed, I think iPhone games will give tough competition to Nokia’s N Gage platform.

We are seeing a lot of music capable handsets these days. The Mobile is doubling up as an iPod or MP3 player. Mobile Radio is pretty popular atleast in India. In countries where people travel a lot to work / study , Mobile music is popular. A recent survey by MMetrics focussed on this aspect.
The survey was mainly targetted at US and Europe markets. So we ask you ! Do you use your phone to listen to music or radio ?
Most people still listen to music on the PC unless they are away. Battery life of phones is getting better but still music playback is a drainer. Walkman phones promise 10Hours of playback. Prices of music phones have also fallen. So mobile music is set to rise !

Sadly N95 was not there in the list of nominees.
