At the Samsung event on June 13, alongside the announcement of its high resolution Super AMOLED display tablets, Samsung also announced that a Bluetooth Accessory keyboard that will be compatible with both the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Tab S 10.5 tablets. The Bluetooth Keyboard acts as a dock as well and tries to transform the tablet to a laptop.

Sony has launched XSP- N1BT, a Smartphone Cradle Receiver that would let you turn your smartphone into a car stereo. You can use the smartphone to control music, navigation, phone calls and text messages. This lets you place the smartphone securely in the dash. The new AppRemote interface uses the smartphone’s touchscreen to control head-unit functions via Bluetooth (Android devices) or via USB (iPhone). Samsung unveiled the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit at the MWC 2014 last month. Samsung has revealed the pricing for the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit at an event in Taiwan. Samsung Galaxy Gear got priced at Rs. 22,990 when it launched in India last year. Samsung assured that the successor would be priced reasonably. The Gear 2 has been priced at NT$ 8,990 (Rs. 17,980 approx) and the Gear Fit is priced at NT$ 5,990 (Rs. 11,980 approx). Pricing for the Gear 2 Neo is not available yet.

Close on the heels of the announcements from Google for Android Wear and Motorola’s Moto 360 Smartwatch, LG has announced that it will actually be making the first smartwatch powered by the new wearables platform. The LG G watch, as it is called, will be the first smartwatch to release to the market, powered by Google’s Android Wear platform. LG and Google have apparently worked on this device together, right from design, just like a Nexus product. The details of the LG G watch have not been revealed yet, but the availability is set to the second quarter of 2014.
