Xiaomi has introduced the MIUI 8 globally at the Mi Max launch event in India, after it was introduced in China last month. Xiaomi said that MIUI has over 200 million active users worldwide. According to nielsen MIUI users in India are 33% more active than average. MIUI 8 brings several new features and a new refreshed UI. There’s a new phone in town and it is absolutely huge! Yes, it is pretty well endowed technologically but seriously, it really is very big. Following the launch of the Redmi Note 3 and the Mi 5, Xiaomi is all set to bring the Mi Max to India. A beast of a device that packs a 6.44 inch display into its slim frame, Mi Max is a very curious phone that almost edges into the small tablet territory. Xiaomi just launched its Mi Max phablet in India at an event in Delhi. It was announced in China last month, packs a 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 or Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoC, runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. WiFi Alliance promises faster speeds with WiFi 802.11ac Wave 2

In a bid to boost the speed and capacity of WiFi routers and other WiFi-equipped devices, the WiFi Alliance has announced an expansion of its WiFi Certified ac program. The wave 2 will include more features like Multi-user Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) and support for four spatial streams. Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 now supports Google Tango Augmented Reality technology platform
