Google introduced the Huawei-made Nexus 6P smartphone in Aluminium, Graphite and Frost White colors back in September, and even introduced a Special Edition in Gold in Japan soon after, but India got only the Aluminium and Graphite colors when it was launched in October. Today Huawei has announced that the Special Gold Edition smartphone with 64GB of storage will be available in the country next week on Flipkart. ZTE AXON MAX with 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617, 3GB RAM, fingerprint sensor announced

ZTE has introduced AXON MAX, the company’s latest smartphone in the AXON series in China. It packs a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with MiFavor 3.5 UI. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) for quick focus in just 0.1 seconds and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and comes with USB Type-C reversible port.

BlackBerry reports $89M loss in Q3 FY2016, PRIV to be available in 31 countries by Feb 2016

BlackBerry today reported a net loss (GAAP) of $89 million or $0.17 per basic share for the third fiscal quarter 2016 that ended November 28, 2015 on revenues (GAAP) of $548 million. Cash and investments balance was $2.71 billion at the end of the fiscal quarter, including the impact of the recent acquisitions of AtHoc and Good Technology at a cost of $636 million, said the company.

Windows 10 mobile rollout delayed for Windows 8 and 8.1 devices till 2016

It looks like Windows phone users will have to wait even longer until they get their hands on the latest Windows 10 OS. Microsoft has said that the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade will  begin early next year to select devices running Windows Phone 8 and 8.1.

Global wearables shipments to cross 200 Million in 2019: Report

Worldwide wearables markets will see continued growth as second- and third-generation iterations reach the market, according a latest forecast from IDC. The research firm stated that the worldwide wearable device market that includes smartwatches and fitness trackers, will reach a total of 111.1 million units in 2016, up a strong 44.4% from the 80 million units expected to ship shipped in 2015.
