South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly working on its next flagship smartphone dubbed as Galaxy S8. BlackBerry DTEK50 and DTEK60 Android smartphones launched in India for Rs. 21990 and Rs. 46990

BlackBerry just launched DTEK50 and DTEK60, its latest Android smartphones in India. The DTEK50 that was announced back in July and the DTEK60 was introduced last month. Both these have a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The DTEK60 also has a fingerprint sensor. Gionee S9 and S9T with 5.5-inch 1080p display, dual rear cameras, 4GB RAM gets certified

Gionee S9 and S9T, two new smartphones with dual rear cameras have been certified by Chinese certification authority TENAA. Both these have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, are powered by an Octa-Core processor, pack 4GB of RAM, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), have 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel dual rear cameras and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Battery Life Test

Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) in India in September for Rs. 32,490. We recently brought you the review of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results of the phone. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for adaptive fast charging using the bundled charger (9V-1.67A / 5V-2A). Samsung says that the bundled charger can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 160 minutes, and up to 32% in just 30 minutes. Check out the test results below.

Google launches RCS messaging for Android devices

Google had acquired Jibe Mobile in October last year to adopt RCS standard. Earlier this year in February, Google teamed up with large number of global operators to accelerate the availability of RCS on Android devices. Earlier this week Google started rolling out Rich Communication Service (RCS) for select Google Messenger users. Now it has officially announced that it has partnered with U.S. carrier Sprint to launch RCS messaging to their customers using Android devices, starting today. Samsung recall about 2.8 million washing machines for risk of explosion

On the back of the Galaxy Note 7 explosion saga, the company’s washing machines are in the news for the very same reason. Samsung Electronics and the product safety officials in the United States have announced a recall of about 2.8 million washing machines.

The latest recall is another dent in the South Korean manufacturer’s reputation. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the top of the washing machine could detach during the use, which of course is a big risk for consumer safety.
