Xiaomi announced 10th iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI in China on 31st May and introduced MIUI 10 Global along with Redmi Y2 at an event on 7th June in India. OnePlus acknowledges OnePlus 6 bootloader protection bypass vulnerability, will roll out fix soon

OnePlus 6 OxygenOS 5.1.6 update brings front camera portrait, battery percentage in status bar and more

OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 5.1.6 for the latest OnePlus 6 smartphone that brings several new features, including the portrait mode support for the front camera, as it had promised at the launch event. MediaTek Helio M70 7nm 5G Modem with up to 5Gbps download speeds announced, coming in 2019

MediaTek during the Computex 2018 last week in Taiwan silently introduced its M70, the latest 5G modem based on TSMC’s 7nm process incorporating EUV technology. The company said that it has collaborated with NOKIA, NTT Docomo, China Mobile, Huawei, and other vendors. It supports 5G NR (New Radio) and will meet the latest 3GPP Release 15 standard specification (complete specification released in June) With 5Gbps transfer rate. Apple is said to be planning on bringing solid-state buttons that don’t move up and down but will sense the touch of a finger.
