Samsung has launched its new Gear VR Powered by Oculus at an event in India, as expected. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones, is 22% lighter than previous Gear VR Innovator Edition and has an improved touchpad that provides easier control to access films, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR. These have a 1.2-inch ( 360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED displays, rotating bezel and run on Tizen based wearable platform. Teewe creator CREO (formerly Mango Man) today announced that it has secured $3 million (Rs. 20.4 crores approximately) funding from Sequoia Capital, Beenext Ventures and India Quotient. It said that it will be creating Android-based operating system and a smartphone that will be launched later this year. It launched its second generation Teewe 2 media streaming stick last year. Panasonic recently introduced Lumix DMC-CM10, it’s latest camera running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) in Japan. It also has 4G LTE support, but you can’t make calls, unlike the Lumix CM1 Android smartphone that was introduced back in 2014. It has a 1-inch 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, F2.8 LEICA DC ELMARIT, 10.2 mm (35 mm-format equivalent: 28mm) lens, manual focus ring, up to 4X EX optical zoom, 4K video recording, RAW image capture and LED flash. Earlier: Motorola teased the launch of its Moto X Force smartphone earlier this week, today the company has sent out invites for the launch event that is scheduled for February 1st and 2nd. It has Moto ShatterShield, the world’s first shatterproof display, packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and has a 3760mAh battery.

LeEco (formerly Letv) has launched the Le 1s smartphone in India, along with the Le Max, as expected. It was announced back in October last year and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with slim bezel, which is just 74.2mm wide, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and runs on Android Lollipop based on EUI 5.5. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus an object in just 0.09 seconds. Apple has released iOS 9.2.1 update for some iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, few weeks after releasing iOS 9.2 update that brought several new features. Motorola rolled out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. The Moto X Play got the update earlier this month, Moto G (3rd gen) got it soon after. Yesterday the latest Moto G Turbo Edition smartphone got the Marshmallow update in India.
