It was introduced back in October last year, packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, is powered by an Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with BlackBerry’s own features and apps, 18-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash, OIS, phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Sony Socialife News for Android is now News Suite, updated with new UI and features

Sony released Socialife News app for its devices back in 2012, later in 2014 the app was released for all the Android devices. Today the company has renamed the app as News Suite and has also updated it with new User Interface (UI) that brings a new two-tab system. It also gets a new ‘News tab’ that features general news from around the world organized by genre, and the “My Feeds” tab gathers together news and blog posts that users are interested in – allowing general and personalized news to be viewed separately. WhatsApp goes completely free, not planning to introduce ads

WhatsApp today announced that will no longer charge subscription fees for using the service. It also said it will not be introducing third-party ads to compensate. Instead, it will start testing tools so that you can use WhatsApp to communicate with businesses and organizations such as banks, to know if your recent transaction was fraudulent, or chat with an airline to ask about a delayed flight.

LG has launched G4 Stylus 3G (H540D), 3G variant of the G4 Stylus that was launched in India last year. The G4 Stylus with 4G support was launched in India for Rs. 24,990 back in July and got a price cut to Rs. 21,000 in August. The 3G variant of the smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD display, runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, similar to the 4G variant, but this is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor, instead of Snapdragon 410 SoC and has a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, laser auto focus, instead of 13-megapixel camera on the 4G variant. Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM (SM-N9208), Dual SIM variant of its flagship Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India. The Galaxy Note5 Dual SIM was first launched in Taiwan and was launched in Asian countries like Malaysia and Philippines later. It has two nano SIM card slots, but these are not hybrid SIM card slots like the Galaxy A series, so you can’t use the secondary SIM slot as a microSD expansion slot. Idea launches 4G LTE services in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Punjab

Idea today launched its 4G LTE services across four more states or three telecom circles – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Punjab, three weeks after it launched 4G services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Idea said that its 4G LTE services will be available across 183 towns in these circles by 31st January 2016. It also said that it has received over 1.5 million 4G service requests from existing customers on its pre-book offer. Google Now launcher updated with landscape support

Google has updated the Google Now launcher with landscape support on phones, which is now back after it was tested in Marshmallow developer preview. You can enable the new feature by enabling the ‘Allow rotation’ option in the settings. Some on-screen elements like the persistent search bar will adjust to accommodate each layout and the items in the dock also rotate individually to stack along the right side of the screen. Xiaomi today announced the Redmi Note 3 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi Note series in China. It is a high-end variant of the Redmi Note 3 that was introduced back in November. It packs the same 5.5-inch 1080p screen, comes with a metal body and has a fingerprint sensor on the back, but this is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 (Snapdragon 618 previously) processor and has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), resulting in a quick focus of just 0.1 second.
