Madras High Court lifts ban on downloading of TikTok app

The Madurai bench of the Madras high court has lifted the ban on downloading of TikTok Mobile Application. The court directed TikTok developer ByteDance to regularly monitor and regulate content on the app, and said that failure to do so will attract contempt proceedings.

Vivo has launched Y17, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the ‘Y Series’ in India, after it got certified in China recently. It has a 6.35-inch Halo FullView Display with a 19.3:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of 89%, is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P35 12nm SoC with 4GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS, Ultra Game Mode, has a 13-megapixel Main Camera, 8-megapixel 120° Super Wide-Angle Camera, and 2-megapixel Depth Camera, as well as a 20-megapixel front camera.

OPPO F11 Pro Marvel’s Avengers Limited Edition announced

Meizu just announced the Meizu 16s, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at an event in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 4.2mm ultra narrow bottom bezel and 91.53% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with up to 8GB of RAM, Hyper Gaming, runs Flyme OS 7 based Android Pie with One Mind 3.0 AI, has a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, OIS, night mode along with a 20-megapixel secondary telephoto lens with Sony IMX350 sensor. OnePlus just sent out invites for the launch of its OnePlus 7 series smartphones globally in United Kingdom, United States and India simultaneously on May 14th, Tuesday. It takes place at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru in India. ‘Notify Me’ page on Amazon.in is already live.

Lenovo Z6 Pro with 6.39-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, up to 12GB RAM, quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

Lenovo has introduced Z6 Pro, successor of last year’s Z5 Pro, as it had promised. It has a  6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED 19.5:9 aspect ratio display with ultra narrow bezels, is powered by Snapdragon 855 with up to 12GB of RAM, liquid cooling with  5mm reinforced copper tube and larger heat dissipation area, and comes with quad rear cameras that includes a 48-megapixel main sensor, 16MP 125 ° ultra-wide-angle camera, 8MP telephoto sensor and a 2MP camera for videos. It offers 2.39cm super macro photography and the new hyper video uses OIS, six-axis gyroscope, ToF and PDAF offer multi-anti-shake solution based on AI optimization for smoother videos even when moving, targeted at vloggers. There is a 32-megapixel camera on the front.

Xiaomi Mi ART TV with 65-inch 4K HDR screen, 13.9 mm slim metal frame announced

Along with its new TV lineup, Xiaomi also introduced its first ART TV or Mural TV at its event. It uses Samsung’s 65-inch 4K HDR panel with flat back and 13.9mm anodized aluminum frame that blends in your home showing art work from 45 artists in 22 genres  when ‘Art Mode’ is on or you can customize it with personalized pictures, family portraits or other images. Xiaomi introduces E32A 32-inch HD, E43A 43-inch FHD, E55A 55-inch and E65A 65-inch 4K HDR full-screen Smart TVs

Xiaomi just announced its 2019 lineup of smart TVs in the E-Series that includes E32A 32-inch HD, E43A 43-inch FHD, E55A 55-inch and E65A 65-inch 4K HDR TVs. All these come with Bluetooth voice remote control, PatchWall interface and are powered by quad-core 64-bit processors. These have full-screen TVs have screen-to-body ratio since these have customized full-screen panel that combines the screen and the middle frame. These come with a metal stand.

Xolo ZX with 6.22-inch notch display, up to 6GB RAM, dual rear cameras launched starting at Rs. 11499

Xolo has launched ZX, as it had promised. It has a 6.22-inch HD+ Notch Display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC with AI Gaming Mode that allocates additional GPU resources during gaming sessions and provides a disturbance free gaming experience with up to 6GB of RAM, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera with AI focus. Software is not mentioned, so it is not clear if it runs Android Pie.

OPPO A1k with 6.1-inch Waterdrop display, Android Pie, 4000mAh battery announced

OPPO recently introduced A1k, the company’s latest budget smartphone in Russia. It has a 6.1-inch HD+ Waterdrop Notch display with 87.43% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, runs Android Pie with ColorOS 6.0 on top, has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It has dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots and packs a 4000mAh battery, but it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner.

Infinix Smart 3 Plus with drop notch, triple rear cameras launching in India on April 23 on Flipkart

After about 5 months of the launch of its Note 5 Stylus smartphone, Infinix has announced that it will launch its Smart 3 Plus smartphone in India on Flipkart tomorrow, April 23rd. It has also posted an image of the phone with triple rear cameras with AI features, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a notch display, which it calls drop notch.
