Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 3 Neo in India at a price tag of Rs. 40900, at the Samsung Forum Asia 2014 in Bali yesterday. We got to check out the device at the event. The Note 3 Neo looks exactly like the Note 3 and comes with all the S Pen features such as Action Memo, Scrapbook, Write Screen, Finder, Pen Window and also has all the Samsung-specific software features. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 in 3 new accents – Rose Gold White, Rose Gold Black and Merlot Red back in December. At the Samsung Asia Forum 2014 in Bali, we got to check out the Rose Gold Black Edition of the Note 3. Earlier today Samsung launched the Galaxy NotePRO, the company’s latest tablet with a huge 12.2-inch screen in India at a price tag of Rs. 64,900. We got some hands-on time with the tablet at the Samsung Forum 2014 in Bali, where is launched. It comes with a S Pen stylus that docks on the back of the tablet and has a Wacom Digitizer for pressure sensitive input, just like the previous Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. It has a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display, powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI on top. Huawei has set a target of selling 60 million smartphones worldwide, this year. The ICT solutions giant has spent only two years in the smartphone business, yet earned itself the title of ‘fourth largest smartphone maker in the world’, beating Nokia & Blackberry, earlier this year. India, being an important market for any growing mobile manufacturer has seen few and delayed handset launches by Huawei. However, the Chinese company hopes to change that trend, soon. “We are not a well-known brand in India, yes that is true and we acknowledge we have work to do”, affirmed Scott Sykes, Head of International Media Affairs, Huawei to FoneArena, in an interview in Shenzhen, earlier this year.
After the delayed launch of Ascend Mate (phablet) in India, Huawei has now introduced its next star product -the Ascend P6. This super slim android device was first announced in UK, way back in June. Vertu has launched yet another Android device in the luxury mobile phone segment. The phone is christened , ‘The Constellation’. It is a new entrant in the much popular constellation series. But no new name for the fresh device. Earlier this year, Vertu launched the Vertu Ti, its first android device, which we went hands on after the launch . Vertu was initially a majority property of Nokia, till it was sold to another company in 2012. Vertu was acquired in majority shares by European investment firm EQT.
