Some Apple iPhone XS and XS Max users are reporting about their iPhones not charging automatically even after plugging in when the screen is off. Affected units require the screen to be on and re-plug in their cables for charging to begin. Apple wins patent infringement appeal against University of Wisconsin

Back in 2014 University of Wisconsin’s Alumni Research Foundation, or WARF has filed patent infringement lawsuit against Apple claiming that Apple’s A series chipset on iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus smartphones infringed a 1998 patent for boosting the efficiency of integrated circuits. Apple was later ordered to pay damages of around $234 million.

Facebook security breach allowed hackers to control 50 million accounts

Facebook engineering team has clarified that it has discovered a security issue that affected almost 50 million accounts. It also mentioned that the investigation is still in its early stages but said that it’s clear that attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebook’s code that impacted “View As” a feature that lets people see what their own profile looks like to someone else.
