Every once in a while comes a product which shatters the barriers of price and expectations. The Micromax Funbook might not be perfect but it might be the one which helps bring tablet computing to the masses.

On the face of it , you might think that the Micromax Funbook is yet another low priced , low quality Chinese tablet owing to the ridiculously low price point. However a closer look reveals that the company has made some smart decision to create a platform which packs in a potent mix of content and hardware while offering just enough power for a good experience without going overboard and pushing up prices. We recently got a chance to get our paws on the sexy little Nokia Lumia 800 in white and just couldn’t resist shooting this little gallery for you guys ! Oh and did we tell you that the color is now available in India as well ? Onwards with the gallery then !

The Nokia Lumia 800 also comes in a couple of other colors including cyan , magenta and the most popular black. The cyan and magenta colors are clearly aimed at the younger market segment but the white and black models are both extremely elegant and exude understated beauty.

IMDB for Android finally lets you stream in 720p

Users of the Android IMDB app have so far been stuck at 480p mode for viewing trailers. This is set to change as the latest version of the app finally allows users to view trailers in upto 720p resolution.

The stream resolution can be changed on the fly to make sure that you don’t exhaust your data cap while on a mobile connection.  The app also includes some bug fixes. You can grab the updated app from the Google Play store by clicking the link below.

Microsoft confirms WP7 app compatibility with Windows Phone 8

Via a blog post , Microsoft’s Larry Lieberman reassured developers around the world and confirmed that all current Windows Phone apps will continue working with future versions of the fledgling operating system. Backwards compatibility is a sign of “commitment to the developers” according to Lieberman.

HTC to stop bundling Beats headphones

As part of its ongoing efforts to increase sales and combat dropping revenues , HTC plans to stop bundling in Beats headphones with their a majority of their handsets. According to HTC , users were not buying the phones specifically for the Beats headphones and that resulted in unnecessarily increasing handset prices compared to competitors.

Huawei Honor listed on Flipkart for Rs. 19,990

Instagram opens sign up page for Android users

The long awaited version of Instagram for Android is right around the corner as was revealed by co-founder Kevin Systrom at SXSW. In anticipation for the impending release , Instagram has opened up a sign up page so that Android users will be notified as soon as the app goes live on the store.

Instagram is an incredibly popular photo sharing service which lets users apply filters to images. Used by over 27 million users, the service has so far been an iOS exclusive. Systrom has previously claimed that the Android app is even better than the much lauded iOS application. There is no set date for the application to go live but you can sign up at the link below to be informed about it as soon as it does.

Google considering sharing revenue with carriers to stimulate Wallet adoption

Reports suggest that Google might be considering sharing revenues from Google Wallet with AT&T and Vodafone to help stimulate usage. The service currently only works on one network and device ie the Sprint Nexus S 4G. Sprint plans to out 10 more Wallet supported devices later this year.
