ZTE Nubia 5S Hands on and Photo Gallery


ZTE is one of those Chinese manufacturers which competes at the highest level. ZTE is present at the MWC 2014 event in Barcelona and they are showcasing their smartphones and they have on display, their current flagship – ZTE Nubia 5S. The ZTE Nubia 5S has top of the shelf specifications and is fully equipped to compete with the big boys like Samsung, Sony and LG in terms of specs.

The specifications of the ZTE Nubia 5S are as follows

  • 5MP front-facing camera
  • 7.6mm thick and weighs 126 grams
  • 2GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB internal memory
  • 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), GPS/aGPS
  • 2300 mAh battery

As you can see from the specifications, the ZTE Nubia 5S is simply the flagship you would expect with top of the range features. The design language and build quality are quite and despite the plastic body, the device feels solid and durable.

According to the folks at ZTE, the 13MP rear camera with OIS is the talking point of the device. It is a Sony 5 element lens and comes with quite a bit of software flair from the Chinese manufacturer. ZTE call the camera UI as the Nubia UI and among its effects and features, the most notable one is that it gives you the option to set Focus, Exposure and White Balance at separate places in the same picture. This level of control gives a professional touch to smartphone photography.
