WSJ reports that iPhone is already shaking up Korea as operator KT is launching the iPhone in South Korea on November 28th that’s today !  After getting regulatory clearance that Apple iPhone is not a Smartphone (South Korea has a ruling that does not allow smart phones to be sold ) the handset is going on sale today and already 50,000 pre-orders have been placed for this device.Apple launched the iPhone in China after removing Wi-Fi and many reports indicate that the launch has been disappointing mainly due to the flourishing grey market in China. Now Apple is entering Korea where Samsung and LG control over 90% of the handset market. But looks like Samsung is not taking the iPhone launch lightly. The Omnia2 has seen a huge price drop just before the iPhone launch.

User’s will have to pay upto $342 for the iPhone depending on the plan and might get it for free on select plans.

Monthly charges will be $40 to $80.

Did Apple just forget India ? Are we getting something special in 2010 like the 4GS?
