Nokia N900 is in da the house ! We managed to get hold of a Prototype N900 a.k.a RX-51 when the phone is just about to begin selling worldwide. Here are some unboxing pictures for your viewing pleasure. The N900 box looks very similar to the N97’s but what different is that you find a embossed N900 on the front. This is the First phone running Nokia’s new found love – Maemo 5.
The N900 is a fully loaded device and no one can complain about lack of features. We were anxious when it was leaked , moderately impressed when it was launched before Nokia World and we were blown away when we used one at Stuttgart during the event. And now we don’t have words to describe how fascinating the last few days has been using the N900 as a primary phone.
This is a prototype device not meant for sale. I’m sure many of you would offer much more than cash to get hold of this one.
N900 is the first phone we are seeing which has the processor written on the box explicitly. It is powered by a ARM Cortex-A8 600MHz CPU

The N900 is powered by a BL-5J battery which is the same power source for 5800 , 5230 and X6. Its a 1320 mAh battery and we’ll find out in our tests if the N900 does fine.
There is a sticker on the rear which tells you how to open the cover.
The Camera on the N900 sits on the rear and comes with a shutter and a LED flash.
The SIM Card slot sits below the battery.
The phone comes with a stylus too. We rarely used it .
The 3.5 inch display is a treat for mobile browsing.
The N900 is bulky and very few users might have a problem with that.
There is a kick stand so that you can watch movies on your desk.
For now we are very much impressed with the N900 as its something totally new on a Nokia device. The UI is refreshing to use. The touchscreen works quite well. How do you like the N900 from the pics ? Any thoughts ?
