The Symbian.org website got a major facelift today just in time for the SEE2009 – The annual Symbian extravaganza. With all the normal confusion amongst users  surrounding the versions of the platform and the devices running various versions, the new website offers you a lot more clarity. There is a list of various devices along with the version its running. The Samsung Omnia HD find’s it place right in the homepage of the website along with GravityAlso the website has been made more Developer friendly and there is also a space for users and innovators to share their ideas which get votes from the community. We will be more than happy if we hear something about the new version of Symbian  ^2 and if the UI will change. Just wait for announcements from tomorrow !

    Hi Varun

Thanks for drawing attention to the redesign. I am sorry about the confusion you draw attention to. I wonder would you consider writing a blog post for us outlining where you think Indian perception of Symbian is? Or perhaps on another subject – the community needs to understand the diversity of experiences there.

      Hi Haydn,

The confusion i was mentioning is regarding the complexity of the Symbian Story the normal user fails to understand. The new site does give a lot of clarity from the device catalog !

Sure. Thanks for the idea . India is a big market for Symbian and Symbian devices . can you share some numbers specific to the market ?
