Nokia announces Cash Back Offer for Diwali – Khareedo Now Ya Pachhtaao

New Delhi, October 12 2009 – As the country readies to celebrate Diwali, Nokia India has announced some exciting initiatives for its consumers. With ‘Khareedo Now Ya Pachhtaao’, the company is bringing its first ever ‘Cash Back Offer’ that gives consumers an opportunity to get money back on the purchase of select Nokia handset models. In addition, Nokia brings a range of innovative Diwali applications like the virtual firecracker, auto SMS, SMS timer and customized greetings that the consumers can use from their mobiles.
On the occasion, Mr. Vipul Sabharwal, Director Sales, Nokia India said, “Diwali is a very special occasion for Indians and we, at Nokia, wanted to further strengthen our connect with our loyal users at this time of festivities. The first-ever “cash back” offer on mobile devices along with innovative applications will bring alive the Diwali experience for our consumers.”

On the purchase of the following 11 models 5030 XpressMusic, 2330 classic, 2700 classic, 7210 supernova, 5130 XpressMusic, 6303 classic, E63, 6700 classic, 5800 XpressMusic, E71, and N97 consumers will get an exciting ‘Nokia Diwali Gift Envelope’. The envelope will contain details of the cash back offer in a form of a scratch card and the Consumers have a chance to win Cash Back from Rs.201 upto Rs.10 lakhs. Details of how to download free Diwali customized applications including games, wallpapers and ringtones will also be included in the Nokia Diwali gift envelope.
Nokia’s range of innovative Diwali applications include virtual firecrackers, SMS Responder, SMS timer and Shubh Diwali which allows consumers to send customized greetings to wish their loved ones, in addition to favorite Diwali recipes, ringtones and wallpapers. Applications and content can be downloaded on the select Nokia handsets by sending a sms <diwaliapps> to <55555>. Also consumers have the option to download this application directly from Ovi store.

On blowing in the phone, the screen lights up with amazing sights and sounds of Diwali Crackers.

SMS Responder & SMS timer
SMS Responder is available for S60 devices and SMS timer for both S60 and S40 devices. Through SMS Responder Nokia consumers can respond to festive SMS automatically as per the pre determined rules.  SMS timer helps schedule SMS greetings and messages with ease.

Shubh Diwali
Shubh Diwali allows consumers to send wallpapers and wishes and express their feelings to the loved ones. Also includes delectable collection of traditional Diwali recipes

Themes, Ringtones and Wallpapers
The consumers can download the fantastic collection of Diwali wallpaper, ringtones and themes on their Nokia devices to get into a full-fledged Diwali aura!

    I bought Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and my friend bought E63 during this period but nothing was there in our scratch cards. Mine had Diwali applications and my friend’s scratch card was empty, literally. When she scratched, it had nothing in it. Company is just making fool of us. I had to buy a new handset a month back but I was waiting for Diwali so that some new offers can be availed but I just made a fool of myself. Its just their marketing strategies.

    I have bought a new Nokia C3 mobile from HotSpot on 30-Oct in Hyderabad but I have not got any Nokia Diwali Cash Back Offer from them. Could some please let me know if Nokia’s current Diwali Cash Back offer is applicable on C3 as well? If yes, how to get it now?
