iPhone 3.1.2 Jailbreak is out after Purplera1n its Blackra1n !

One of the members of the iPhoneDev team which releases jail breaking tools for iphone and ipod touch is in action again. Geohot who is well known iPhone hacker released the purplera1n tool for windows users to jailbreak the iPhone 3.0 software and has now released blackra1n which is a iPhone 3.12 jailbreak.

Blackra1n is a 30 second ALL device 3.1.2 jailbreak  solution even for the ipod touch 3 The release also carries a warning for 3g and 3gs unlockers.

Warning 3g and 3gs unlockers, do not upgrade to 3.1.2 using iTunes if you want to keep your unlock. Baseband cannot be downgraded. Check out the dev team’s offerings. Also blackra1n doesn’t hacktivate.

The tool only works on windows machines and others have to wait for a new version of the Pwnage tool

    Well, as far as jailbreaking 3.1.2 I don’t know if it does. But, I have a 16 gb iPhone 3gs running firmware 3.1 and i did jailbreak it. All i did was hook up my iphone to my computer and clicked on “Make it rain” and withing 30 seconds my phone was rebooting. So Thankyou Geohot.

    Bu11sh!t.
    It does jailbreak iPhones upgraded via iTunes, and it does Hactivate.
    I jailbroke my first iPhone last night.
    My friend bricked her iPhone and asked if I could fix it. I gave my usual answer, dunno but I’ll try.
    I put the iPhone in recovery mode and connected it to my Vista machine.
    iTunes popped up and noted that an iPhone in recovery mode was connected, and asked me if I wanted to recover it.
    I clicked yes.
    It did it’s thing, and all was well. but it wanted a sim to activate via iTunes. I disconnected the phone and killed iTunes
    I went looking for the jailbreak app and after a little research ended up with Blackra1n.
    I reconnected the iPhone and iTunes launched, and I killed it again
    I launched Blackra1n and clicked the “Make it rain” ok button and it put the iPhone in recovery mode for just a momnet.
    iTunes launched again, but i was waiting for it and killed it before it was fully loaded.
    Blackra1n did it’s thing, and rebooted the iPhone, only this time, iTunes didn’t launch. and the iPhone no longer asked for the sim,
    but it did wanr me that none was present.
    I clicked ok and that was that. Jailbroke and Hactivated.

    I have to add, she had removed her sim because the phone was bricked, and she put her sim in a different phone so she wasn’t stuck woith out a phone.
    So I did all of this without a sim in the phone. Don’t know if that makes a difference.

    guys blackra1n works but i have got a problem with it. Whenever you restart your iphone you again have to ra1n it…thats bad…sometimes if your battery is empty and u dun ve your laptop then u r gone man…can ne1 give me a permanent solution for it….thanks for the help
