Cycloramic app spins your iPhone 5 to take panoramic video

Cycloramic is a new iPhone app that uses iPhone 5’s vibrating motors to spin the phone automatically while capturing a panoramic video . You need to put the iPhone 5 on a smooth, hard and level surface, choose number of turns, and front or back camera and press the “GO” button for it to capture a panoramic video in 720p or 1080p resolution. There are several apps for the iPhone to take 360 degree panoramas, but this is the only app that spins the iPhone automatically.

Since the iPhone 5 has a powerful vibration motor and weight less, the app works well on it. It can also work on the iPhone 4 and 4S, but it’ll be slow, says the company. This is definitely a brilliant idea. Even the Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak is impressed by the app.

Here is a demo of the app in action, from the Cycloramic YouTube channel.

Download the Cycloramic app for iPhone from the Apple iTunes Store for $0.99.
