MapmyIndia Navigator for iPhone and iPad with house number search and navigation launched

MapmyIndia has launched, MapmyIndia Navigator which is said to be India’s first mobile app with house number search and navigation on iPhone. This app is powered by Telenav, that also offers voice-guided turn-by-turn GPS navigation, moving maps and access to millions of places for easy search and discovery.

Features of MapmyIndia Navigator for iPhone and iPad

  • Search places and points of interest either by category or name, including restaurants, ATMs, hotels, hospitals and more and drive to frequent favorite destinations.
  • Search and navigate to house numbers in 18 cities, reach any of the 579,000 towns and villages and navigate at street-level across 1,200 cities.
  • Turn-by-turn GPS navigation with voice guidance that offers voice instructions for each turn, speaking street names as well in an Indian accent.
  • Automatic re-routing automatically generates a new route if the driver misses a turn.
  • Shake-to-Go features lets users shake their phone to instantly start navigation to their home address from wherever they are.
  • It has speed limit alerts that notifies drivers when they exceed the posted speed limit on national highways.
  • The application switches to night-time mode automatically, allowing for safer viewing conditions while driving at night.

The MapmyIndia Navigator is a universal app that is available for iPhone and iPad is available as at $3.99 for one month as an introductory offer. After the 30 day introductory period, premium navigation will be available for $29.99 per year.
