Nokia tops as most exciting youth brand in India


Nokia tops the list of 20 most exciting youth brands in India, based on a survey by Nielsen Company according to Times of India. This survey was conduced among both male and female aged between 15-24 years across 13 cities in India. Nokia is also India’s Most Trusted Brand according to a recent survey conducted by research firm Trust Research Advisory (TRA).

D Shivakumar, senior vice-president, India, Middle East and Africa, Nokia said

50% of overall app downloads in India happen on Nokia Ovi store. We have the best music service, the best bands. Music, cricket and entertainment are passions of the youth. In each of these genres we’ve done a lot of work.

Nokia has also launched new Asha phones including Dual SIM Asha 200 in India recently. Nokia unveiled the Lumia, Windows 7 smartphones in India last November. The Lumia 800 went on sale in India last December followed by the Lumia 710 in January that has seen a price drop recently. Nokia has also been promoting Lumia handsets in India under the Amazing Everyday banner.
