Sony Ericsson Xperia HD images, specs surface before official launch

The Sony Ericsson Nozomi or which will officially will be called as Xperia HD has been in the news from quite sometime and has been rumored to be Sony Ericsson’s flagship device in CES. Now ITProPortal is claiming they have some exclusive images and benchmarks of this device which will leave us speechless.

According to the benchmarks and tests performed by their source Xperia HD definitely has a 720 x 1280 HD display which is a similar to the Galaxy Nexus. Besides the high resolution display it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 chipset which is a dual core asynchronous chip clocked at 1.5 GHz, now that is some raw power right there. The same processor is on board the HTC Evo 3D but clocked at different frequency. The one good thing about having an asynchronous architecture is that it saves a lot of battery and once it is upgraded to ICS, the device will be much more responsive and less battery consuming.

They have also said that Xperia HD will not be having a MicroSD card slot and will support on MicroSIM cards like the iPhone 4 and the 4S. The device also has a 12 MP camera which is pretty amazing and also carries along a gigabyte of RAM.  The Xperia HD will be running on Android 2.3.7, and will later be updated to Android 4.0 by Sony Ericsson later. The features of this device clearly indicate that it is a beast of a phone. We are not very sure about these features but we will soon come to know once it has been unveiled by Sony Ericsson in a few days. So CES is around the corner, I am sure you are excited because I am.
