Only 674,000 WP7 devices sold so far, says Eldar Murtazin

Windows Phone 7 was launched last year and it’s known as the successor of Windows Mobile 6.5. WP7 has potential and it’s growing gradually. Android is now almost 3 years old and it’s currently leading the mobile OS race. Gartner recently predicted that by 2015, Android will be dominating the mobile market whereas Microsoft OS will be runner up. Our friend Eldar Murtazin, who’s a very well known analyst and mobile guru, he claims it that only 674,000 WP7 devices are sold to the customers so far, and as we know 1.5 million devices are shipped worldwide. Well, Eldar has a good track record, so I hope he is right about these figures.

So what it looks like is that Microsoft has sold around 700,000 WP7 devices so far. I think this info is neither disappointing nor mind blowing. Android sales were also slow in the beginning, but now Android is getting better and better. I am pretty sure that WP7 will also grow, but for that Microsoft has to launch software updates like Google do after short period of time, that’s the thing which makes users happy. WP7 is totally different from other operating systems available in the market, and it’s getting a lot of attention. I hope Microsoft will launch a software update for WP7 soon, which will make the experience even better.

So WP7 fans out there, what are your thoughts about WP7?
