Evernote 3.0 for Android gets lots of new features


Evernote for Android, that was released in 2009 gets major update from version 2.6.2 to 3.0. Evetnote lets you create notes online and sync it with several devices. This update includes new features like browsing shared notes, assigning locations to a note, premium features like offline access and PIN lock and lots more.

This also has new home screen widget that lets your create text, audio, snapshot and search your notes easily. There are also options to add location to a note which shows all the notes based on the location on the map.

Features of Evernote 3.0

  • Browser notes shared by others easily from Evernote’s home screen.
  • Create or edit notebooks.
  • You can access shared notes offline or editing them if you are premium Evernote subscriber.
  • Share a note easily on Facebook or mail them.
  • Add a location to your notes on GPS enabled handsets and add location from maps in the note.
  • Search within a specific notebook, by tags or by location, instead of searching entire notes.
  • You can lock the app with a pin lock if you are a premium Evernote subscriber.
  • New home screen widget with progress bar that show notes that are syncing in the background.

Evernote 3.0 could be downloaded for free from Android Market for devices that run Android 1.5 and above.
