Vodafone To Offer Unlimited 3G Usage For Rs.899?

Today, Tata Docomo’s 3G services went live in selected cities of the nine circles, where it has won the 3G license. Sadly, Tata Docomo’s 3G services are still not available in our city and we may have to wait till the year-end to enjoy their 3G services. On the other hand, Vodafone is gearing up for the launch of its 3G services in India.

Recently, my twitter friend @ashishmohta got a call from the Vodafone representative regarding the launch of its 3G services. According to the representative, Vodafone will launch 3G as early as next week and the 3G plans will not burn a hole in your pocket. Currently, they are calling only special customers to let them know about the launch of Vodafone 3G.

Vodafone will offer 3 data plans:

  • 10GB data usage for Rs.499
  • 15GB data usage for Rs.699
  • Unlimited data usage for Rs.899

Vodafone had grabbed 3G license for 9 circles – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai & Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (East) and West Bengal. However there is no official statement from the company, regarding the launch of its 3G services. Are you excited for the launch of Vodafone 3G? Let us know your views in the comments below.

    I would really like to see something for the Blackberry Data plans on 3G at those prices. The 2G prices for Postpaid are already steep at Rs. 599 for unlimited data.

    Lets see if the 3G are good to start with

      BSNL is providing an unlimited data plan at Rs.999 for Blackberry users on 3G. Check with your nearest BSNL outlet.

    Its too good to be true. Right now they are offering VMC at same prices with much lower data limit. The rates right now in Delhi are:
    499 for 500MB, 699 for 1GB and 899 for unlimited data usage. How can they provide such high limits of data usage at such low rates..

    BSNL PROVIDING UNLIMITED 3G IN JUST RS 700 PER MONTH I.E RS 4200/ FOR 6 MONTH SO VODAFONE THIS IS NOT GOOD PLAN WE HOPE LESS THAN BSNL .

    its not possible for company like vodafone to give us 3g services in these cheap rates.
    i know very well that compare to bsnl, its almost same or for some poor people its still high rates….but vodafone give 2g speed gprs in Rs.500 Per Month in Postpaid Delhi wid 500MB usage only.
    i m not sure about latest tariff…..but 800 for unlimited is totaly false statement. i think some fake people use dese fake statements to get cheap rates 4m other companies.

    I don’t understand their pricing clearly.

    On google they’re advertising their usb stick (3g modem) for Rs.1600 but I today saw their advertising in Time of India and Gujarat Smachar (I’m from Ahmedabad) suggesting it’s price to be Rs. 1900.

    Their tariffs also confuses me. They publish different prices at different locations. Let me know if someone has accurate information.

      I recently bought 2 Vodafone 3G enabled data cards for 1600/- each last month. As, I have to move out of India by next month, I am OK to send it for 1200/- each (Absolutely New like condition).     bsnl is offering unlimited data for 6 months at 4200/- i.e. 700/- per month….

    i think private players would need to come up with similar plans.

    899/- (+ taxes) seems a bit costlier to me.

    BTW, someone told me that Vodafone is launching 3G from 20th Feb.
