Google’s Measure app updated to support all ARCore devices

Google introduced Measure, an app that lets you measure things back in 2016 for Tango devices. Now the company has updated the app that makes it compatible with all ARCore devices that includes:

  • Google Pixel series, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P
  • Zenfone AR / ARES
  • Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 Sirocco
  • Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Mate RS Porsche Design
  • LG G6, G7 ThinQ, V30, V30+, V35 ThinQ
  • Motorola Moto G5S Plus, Moto G6 Plus, Moto Z2 Force
  • OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5
  • Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A8, Galaxy A8+ (2018). Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+
  • Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

Measure helps you with quick, everyday measurements, similar to a tape measure. With the Measure app, you can:

  • Measure the length and height of objects in the real world like the size of a rug, the width of a cabinet, or the height of a table
  • Switch between imperial and metric units
  • Save photos of your measurements for later

You just have to move your phone around the space to find flat surfaces such as tabletops or the floor. Then drag a length tool or height tool into the scene, and adjust it to the right size. Tap the camera icon to snap a photo for later, or tap the trash icon to start a new measurement.

You can download Measure from the Google Play Store.
