Samsung Galaxy S overclocked to 1.6 GHz


In the past few weeks, we have seen a few devices overclocked to at least 1.5 GHz, and now Samsung Galaxy S has joined the bandwagon too. We all know that Samsung Galaxy S comes with a very powerful processor, which is also a reason Samsung Galaxy S is a very good entertainment device, and there is a lot of hidden power in the Samsung Hummingbird processor. Team Whiskey over at XDA Developers overclocked the Samsung Vibrant, which is a Galaxy S phone to 1.6 GHz, and Samsung Galaxy S is showing some awesome results. You all may know about Quadrant, it’s an app you can use to benchmark your phone. On Quadrant, Samsung Galaxy S has broken the 3k barrier by showing an awesome benchmark result of 3196, which is totally awesome, and no doubt that Samsung Galaxy S is blowing Nexus One out of the water. And on Linpack, Samsung Galaxy S got 12.31 MFLOPS, which is also a very good score. They also overclocked the GPU to max, and the Galaxy S is running the games around 74 FPS per seconds, which is amazing. Well, Samsung Galaxy S has proved it again that it’s a one powerful device.
