Disney and Apalya sign deal to bring Mickey Mouse and company to your Phone via Mobile TV

You can soon watch Disney TV along with your kids on your mobile phone. Disney has signed a deal with ApalyaTV to bring the channel to most leading mobile operators in India including Idea, Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Tata Docomo and Tata Indicom

Disney Channel Mobile TV to be available over all leading mobile networks via deal with Apalya TV

MUMBAI: Disney Channel’s popular shows for kids and families will now be
available to them on their mobile and data card service anywhere, anytime beginning
October 27, 2010. The channel has entered a deal with Apalya TV — India’s largest
content aggregator for mobile TV services.

This is the first time that Disney Channel’s long form content will be available to
mobile and data card users across India. Apalya TV services are available over all
leading mobile networks such as Idea, Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, Reliance,
Docomo, Tata Indicom, Tata Photon Plus, Virgin VFlash, Reliance Net Connect etc.

Kids and families will be able to view all their favorite Disney Channel shows such
as Phineas and Ferb, Kya Mast Hai Life, Ishaan, The Suite Life on Deck, Wizards of
Waverly Place and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on their mobile handsets or through their
data card connection.

Raju Venkataraman, General Manager, Disney Media Distribution India said,

stories in one of the largest and fastest growing mobile markets in the world. With
Telecom players set to launch 3G services in India, mobile video streaming services

with children and families across India. With Disney’s content going live on Apalya TV, I

Any consumer with a GPRS connection can download the mobile TV application of
his/her operator from the mobile-enabled WAP sites of their respective service
providers and will get Disney Channel as a part of basic bouquet. Disney Channel is
also available as a standalone premium channel on the mobile TV service of various
mobile and data card operators.
