Apple iMac Pro to launch in India soon starting at Rs. 415000

As announced earlier this week, Apple started selling  its top-end iMac Pro desktop PC  from today in the U.S. starting at  US$ 4,999 (Rs. 3,20,760 approx.). Apple India just announced that the iMac Pro will be available in India soon starting at a price of Rs. 4,15,000, but it did not announce the exact launch date. It was unveiled at WWDC 2017 annual developer’s conference back in June.

To remind you, the iMac Pro has a 27-inch Retina 5K (5120 x 2880 pixels) display with support for 1 billion colors, 500 nits brightness, Wide color (P3), is powered by 8-Core, 10-Core or 18-Core Xeon processors with 8GB Radeon Pro Vega 56 GPU, configurable to 16GB Radeon Pro Vega GPU, has 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 ECC memory, which is configurable to 64GB or 128GB and has 1TB SSD, which is configurable to 2TB or 4TB.

It comes with new Radeon Pro Vega GPU, up to 16GB of on-package high-bandwidth memory (HBM2), delivering up to 11 Teraflops of single-precision compute power for real-time 3D rendering and immersive, high frame rate VR. For half-precision computation, ideal for machine learning, iMac Pro delivers up to 22 Teraflops of performance.

iMac Pro also supports up to 4TB of SSD and up to 128GB of ECC memory, and with four Thunderbolt 3 ports can connect to up to two high-performance RAID arrays and two 5K displays at the same time. It also features 10Gb Ethernet for up to 10 times faster networking for the first time.

In the U.S., the 8-core and 10-core iMac Pro versions ship in one to two weeks, but the 14-core and 18-core versions will take 6 to 8 weeks to ship. The 18-core version with maximum configuration costs $13,199 (Rs. 8,46,910)
