LG to unveil new gram laptops with 8th gen Intel Core processors at CES 2018

LG today has announced that will unveil the new GRAM laptops at the CES 2018 event which is going to be kick-started in a few weeks. The LG GRAM series was debuted back in 2014. The new series keeps its focus on portable computing and comes with Intel Core i7 processor. 

The 13-inch and 14-inch GRAM laptops feature a highly efficient 72Wh battery which the company claims will provide full day backup on a single charge. Both the laptops are powered by the Intel 8th generation Core i7 and i5 processors with SSD storage. The booting time according to the company is said to be under 10 seconds and there is also a secondary SSD storage for more internal storage.

The laptops also passed U.S. military MIL-STD 810G durability tests for resistance to impact, pressure, and temperature. Other features of the laptops include a backlit keyboard, precision touchpad, webcam, and it also supports DTS Headphone X which provides a multi-channel sound of up to 11.1 channels for rich 1.5W hi-fi surround sound. The GRAM laptops also have IPS In-cell Touch Screen, Fingerprint Reader and Thunderbolt 3 for compatibility with Mac.

The LG GRAM laptops will be available in the U.S. from next month and will gradually roll out to other markets and these laptops will be displayed at the CES 2018 event as well.
