Hike Messenger acquires CREO

After last year’s report, Hike Messenger today confirmed that it has acquired CREO, a Bangalore-based technology start up that was founded by ex Hikers Sai Srinivas Kiran G, and Shubham Malhotra. The company did not reveal the amount of the deal.

Hike said that CREO team that has over 50 members who will work on a developer platform to enable 3rd party developers to build services on the Hike platform.

Teewe creator CREO (formerly Mango Man) launched Mark 1, it’s first flagship smartphone with its own Fuel OS based on Android in April last year with a promise to bring new software features every month.

The Mark 1 that was launched for Rs. 19,999 got a Rs. 6,000 price cut 3 months after launch, after which it went out of stock on Flipkart. At the end of last year CREO CEO said in an interview that the company stopped smartphone production and will focus only on its Fuel OS.
