Earlier this month, Samsung officially announced the refurbished Galaxy Note7 units as Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Galaxy Note FE) in South Korea. We have got our hands on the phone so let’s take a quick look at the hardware and specifications of the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has almost same specifications as the Galaxy Note7 that was discontinued due to battery issue and even uses several components from the Note7. It looks similar to the Galax Note7. It also comes with a Bixby Home and Bixby Reminder along with a new interface based on Android Nougat, that was introduced with the Galaxy S8 smartphone.

The 3.5mm audio headphone jack, Type C port, loudspeaker grills, antenna band cutouts and S-Pen slot. The device has a 3,200mAh battery with 8-Point Battery Safety Check and multi-layer safety measures protocol implemented, same as the Galaxy S8 series.

The phone sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) (518ppi) Super AMOLED curved dual edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is powered by a Octa-Core Exynos 8890 (2.3GHz Quad + 1.6GHz Quad), 64 bit, 14 nm processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition (Galaxy Note FE) comes in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx colors. The company plans to sell 400,000 units of the phone in South Korea.
