Nokia is still the Most Trusted Brand in India

Despite loosing market share to Chinese and Korean clones and to Dual SIM warriors like Micromax, Spice -  Nokia is still the Most Trusted Brand in India according to the Economic Times  Brand Equity survey for 2010. Nokia has bagged the title for 3 years in a row now. I feel Nokia still produces good value for money phones but  there is nothing interesting in the smartphone space compared to the competition. Nokia just launched Dual SIM phones in India which Nokia loyalists have been demanding for ages. When I spoke to Jo Harlow of Nokia , she told me that the delay was mainly connected to enforcing quality in the Dual SIM products.Do you trust Nokia as a brand. Answer our poll below

Consumers rate Nokia as India’s Most Trusted Brand for third year in row

Espoo, Finland – Nokia has been ranked No.1 in The Economic Times-Brand Equity’s annual ‘Most Trusted Brands’ survey for 2010 in India, marking Nokia’s recognition as India’s most trusted brand for three consecutive years. Nokia has appeared in the survey since 2005, and has held the first position in 2008, 2009 and now, 2010.

Nokia’s leadership rating over the years in this survey is also an indicator of the dramatic impact mobility has on India’s consumers over the years.  India has been among the fastest growing telecom markets in the world with an estimated current mobile subscriber base in excess of 670 million subscribers.

“Nokia has always been a consumer-centric company and a consumer award for ‘trust’ is the pinnacle of all awards.  This award is a testament to our team’s deep focus and determined efforts to better understand the needs of the evolving Indian consumer and connect with them. The award marks the celebration of 15 years of mobility and Nokia in India. The first mobile phone call was made on a Nokia phone using Nokia network on July 31, 1995.

Brand Equity’s ‘Most Trusted Brands’ survey judges 300 brands from consumer products and services. Consumers across 13 Indian cities evaluate the brand on seven key attributes

Key brand attributes used in Brand Equity’s “Most Trusted Brands” survey:

1. Always maintains a high level of trust

2. Is worth the price it commands

3. Is a brand I would surely consider if I have to buy the product

4. Has been a popular brand for many years

5. Has something that no other brand has

6. Evokes a feeling of confidence and pride among its users

7. Is very special brand with unique feelings associated to it

    i also hate nokia phones.i love sony ericsson and samsung phones.what do you like.pls reply me to ab.montu46@gmail.com.my uncle is using nokia 1661 and its software was gone last month and ye take this un nokia care.so every time we have used nokia phones we got software problems.so every one my family using samsung and sony ericsson phones except my uncle.most me the nokia phones are ugly and comes with same square middle keypad

      Sorry to hear that but I used to own several nokia phone since from the analogue area…all serve me well without any problem here in Malaysia…now the digital area (GSM) I owned 3 of nokia phone. Each serve me without any problem. Just my opinion. Cheers.

    I accept it Rajeev even im in the haters list of nokia coz its phones given me much more trouble than any other phones.Now im having android phone which is far better no.. BEST than the F%%$^in symbians ! !

    hey for em Nokia is the best Brand in India. the phones are of best quality and reasonable top price. i have used almost all brands but among all Nokia is best coz:-1. it has long battery life 2. easy to use features which can be operated even by childrens. 3. handset doesnt damage even if it falls. in my case my handset falled for many times but still didnt had any problem..
    Some nokia handset have problems but they are less in number.

      Agree with you…all my set is Nokia because this set is user friendly during the analogue area compare to other brand like Motorola since you hv to remember all the codes to access the menu. Since now we are in the digital area…all these hv become a history. If you know what I mean. The durability and price is the main attraction…

    totally appericiate with u. nokia is user friendly & still 1 of the most popular handsets. the most imp thing it’s the nature friendly too bcoz advertised by the nokia i:e; plant a tree. it saves our envoirnment too.

    Hey guys, Nokia has the best imaging and music phones in world. The main thing i dont lyk in the Android is the upgradation of OS versions in 6 or 4 months. Coz, the phs. Tht cant b upgraded to new OS version will not get good apps. That has for the newer version. Its a total blunder!!
