Nokia E72 Firmware Updated To Version 051.018

Nokia recently released a new firmware update for its popular business phone, the Nokia E72. The new version 051.018 can be easily downloaded from Nokia Software Update (NSU) or via. Over-The-Air. Even though Nokia E72 has support for User Data Preservation (UDP), you should backup all your data before updating this device. Check out the complete changelog below.

  • Maps moved to Main menu from Applications – GPS folder
  • Help moved from Main menu to Applications folder

  • Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, Bloomberg moved from Internet folder to Applications folder
  • No changes to vanilla memory cards
  • Altogether 450+ errors are fixed.

    I’m facing problems with my E72 with product code 0587267.

    After updated to a version 031.023 (031.023.C00.01) my keypad stop work correctly (with the initial firmware everything was ok.

    Now i can’t write letters like ç ã â á à.

    The characters like , ; . : changed it´s position.

    Now i´m afraid to update to this last version 051.018

      probably you have installed a wrong language pack.
      or your product code have been changed for updation by any third party software.

      you may need to retain your old product code and update again to get proper language pack.

    After the updates, I’m having problem with my SMS notification.
    It no longer have vibration or alert tone on it.

    Anyone having the same prob??

      I also lost my SMS notification… It’s crazy…

      It worked good after the update, but some days after, it stopped working at all. So now I have to be having a look on it each 5 minutes to see if a have new messages…
