Microsoft Planner app for Office 365 users launched for Android and iOS

Microsoft has launched its Planner for Office 365 users on Android and iOS devices. The task management app requires an eligible Office 365 work or school subscription and does not support Office 365 personal accounts.

Planner makes it easy for your team to create new plans, organize and assign tasks, share files and get updates on progress. It was rolled out for Office 365 users last year in June and has now finally expanded to mobile apps. Existing Planner users can use this companion app to view and update their plans. Once you create your plans in the web app, you can view and update those plans in the mobile experience. Microsoft said it plans to add push notifications, the ability to create new plans from the mobile app and integration with Intune to Planner apps in coming months.

Planner is available to customers with Office 365 Enterprise E1–E5, Business Essentials, Business Premium and Education subscription plans.
