Xiaomi announced Mi Max 2 smartphone today at an event in China. It has a full metal unibody design with rounded edges and is just 7.6mm thick. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, has an improved 12-megapixel rear camera as well.

Google is planning to launch Android Pay in India later this year through Unified Payments Interface. The report further said San Francisco-based startup Stripe that allows businesses in more than 100 countries to easily accept all kinds of digital payments -was in advanced talks to launch in India through a partnership with UPI.

OnePlus and Qualcomm is partnering again for the OnePlus 5. As the launch OnePlus’ next flagship is near, both these companies today confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform.

Sony is planning to kill its ‘premium standard’ models of Xperia smartphones, according to XperiaBlog. As per the report, Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact smartphones that were launched last year will not get successors.
