Instagram rolls out Collections to organize your bookmarks

Instagram is taking a cue from Pinterest for its new feature. The Facebook owned photo and video sharing platform has rolled out a new feature that will help you organize all your bookmarks. Dubbed as Collections, the feature will allow users to organize saved posts into private groups for easier access.

Instagram introduced the ability for users to save photos and videos in December last year. With Collections, you can tap and hold the bookmark icon underneath a post to save it directly to a collection. In order to create a collection, tap the plus icon in the top right corner, give your collection a name and select the saved posts you would like to add. You can also create a collection out of your existing saved posts. Collections will be present on the saved posts tab on your profile. Similar to the saved posts, your collections are private and only you can see them.

Instagram says 46 percent of Instagrammers have saved at least one post since the addition of the bookmarking feature. The Collection feature is available for iOS and Android in the Apple App Store and Google Play as part of Instagram version 10.16.
