Last week Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries announced Jio Summer Surprise for its Jio Prime members under which they get free Jio services for 3 months on a complimentary basis when they make their first paid recharge prior to 15th April using Jio’s Rs 303 plan or any higher value plan. Jio Prime members can recharge for Rs. 303 or higher to enjoy current Happy New Year offer benefits including full bouquet of Jio’s media services as well as free calls and 1GB data per day.

Sony Mobile has launched the Xperia XZs in India today. It was introduced at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona last month, and packs a 5.2-inch 1080p screen and Snapdragon 820 processor, same as the predecessor, but this runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) and comes with a new  19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with support for 960fps for slow motion tech.

Fitbit announced Alta HR as the world’s slimmest wrist-based continuous heart rate tracking device last month. Now the company has launched it in India. The upgraded version of Fitbit Alta has PurePulse heart rate technology, offers automatic exercise recognition, sleep tracking and promises up to 7 days battery life.

Apple has announced that it will no longer use graphics chips from UK-based Imagination Technologies for its iPhone. The company will not use Imagination Technologies’ intellectual property in its new products in 15 months to two years time, and as such will not be eligible for royalty payments under the current license and royalty agreement.
